No, it’s the one position we NEED to strengthen. Ling is absolute poo poo and Judd injuries mean we can’t rely on him.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 4:50 pm https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-new ... ton-orient
Like we need another right back !

Re: Full Back training with the O's
Interesting that clubs need to name "squads" now. It could be less relevant lower down the league, but just like in this instance it might push more fringe players from higher clubs out on loan to smaller ones.

Aren’t we after another defender that can play CB or RB . Maybe he’s the player

Re: Full Back training with the O's
ling le ton obviously don't rate Judd as that would mean he takes the dofs sons place in the team and that is not ever going to happen.
Judd is better than Ling, but we have nepotism going on at our club unfortunately, in my opinion.

I believe Ling is picked over Judd because of his long throw not because of his father.

I’d happily forego a long throw for a defender who could defend. That’s not Ling. Nor does he offer much going forward other than the said throw. Judd is better. But he won’t get a look in.

Re: Full Back training with the O's
its like Kevin dickinson said "he can't defend, he can't attack, other than that he's ok"
Thats a proper honest assessment of a player by an ex pro who played hundreds of games and knows his profession.
We all know he's here cos of his old man cos he ain't good enough to be in our team in my opinion.

Re: Full Back training with the O's
If I thought for a minute that we were going to out one of Ling or Judd and the boy from Ipswich is decent then OK, but I can't see either Ling or Judd going anywhere.
Judd dives in, is impestouos and his positional play is poor. Ling weak in the tackle and doesn't get forward enough, Ling is technically better but has generally dissapointed.
Ideally get rid of both, but would have happened by now if thats what they were looking to do. To be honest I would rather have Turley there if he could stay fit.
We need a decent centre half and a big striker, can't see us bringing in anything other than players in those two positions.

If only Judd had been given some game time, then he may have been able to work on the fair criticisms you’ve made of his game.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 10:55 pm If I thought for a minute that we were going to out one of Ling or Judd and the boy from Ipswich is decent then OK, but I can't see either Ling or Judd going anywhere.

Long throw? Is that the one which now covers the family sofa?

Re: Full Back training with the O's
You don't work on your faults in games, need to be coached out of him in training games although some players are very slow for the penny to drop. the reason Ling plays more is that he is less likely to drop a ricket or to get sent off. You don't really expect players at our level to be fault free but Ling will make slightly less mistakes.RedO wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 9:38 amIf only Judd had been given some game time, then he may have been able to work on the fair criticisms you’ve made of his game.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 10:55 pm If I thought for a minute that we were going to out one of Ling or Judd and the boy from Ipswich is decent then OK, but I can't see either Ling or Judd going anywhere.

Thorbore tries so hard to be a big shot but only succeeds in being a Tos**r. Not in the same league as Dis and AW or the great chingford .

Re: Full Back training with the O's
Juddy is one of those players who will not do anything before he grows up.
His Immaturity around the club has already been well documemted.
If the boy grew into a man in his head , he may get more game time .
Until he does that anywhere hell be in & out & the out will be more than in.

I remember Ling Snr giving one scathing interview where he threw Juddy under the bus but that’s it.

Re: Full Back training with the O's
According to you Ling Snr "throws everyone under the bus" in the commentary today the lads said that Judd once again lost concentration allowed the player he was supposed to be marking to get away and cross for another Reading player to miss an open goal, he is a liability Cambridge away last season was another example where he got himself sent off 75 yards from his own goal unnecessarily which heaped pressure on us in a game we were cruising at the time,RedO wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 8:55 pmHas it?tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 4:21 pmJuddy is one of those players who will not do anything before he grows up.
