Soap powder I think, some of the pods, especially Fairy, all seem to stick together now, a bit like Orient's middle management, and all the
liquid is in the bottom of the box. FFS Ling.

Didn't take long did it?

Liquid tabs are the one, no need for measuring and all that malarkey

We get ours delivered alongside our dishwasher tabs by a company called Smol for a great price :geek:

Tabs are easier to swallow.

Powder better for your machine though.

We use the eco egg as we are hippies.
Haven't used powder or tabs for years.
Buy refill beads every six months.

The wife deals with the buying of washing materials ( I often put a wash on though ) Persil powder is what she prefers ( and yes it does remove my skid marks ) .

I had never heard of them before your posting. I've looked up their website and they do make some claims. Is the product any good? Does it clean clothes as good as or better than normal washing detergents? I like the eco side of what they do. Thanks for your reply in advance.

Yes to all the above. Not only does it save money but its better for the environment and that is a Bold claim.
The other products on the website are also very good.

Liquid tabs, with a little bit of Vanish washing powder and some conditioner. Seems a bit like overkill - but I have very dirty underpants.

Yup cheap stuff is fine

I dont do man made fibres in clothing , therefore i want to do as little damage to my clothing as possible.
Occasionally i will put some bicarb on a stain if i drop some food on a shirt for example.
Washing clothes helps in deterioration .
Shampoo washing up liquid & washing machine detergents are generally made up of the same thing ,
Shampoo is obviously much heavier in the water & therefore is usable by humans.

Wool is just hair & cotton is a fibrous material similar to hair/fur .

I once watched an interview with the CEO of Levis and they were talking about washing jeans, shrink washing etc. He said he does not wash his jeans and the pair he was wearing were 2 years old. The interviewer was shocked and he explained kind of what you said above. By washing you damage them, colour loss etc and as weird as it seemed the more you wore them the better they were and cleaner as in a kind of self cleaning kind of way.

I told my wife and she said he's mad and if you think that your jeans ain't getting washed after you've worn them then your madder than him!!

We switch between tabs and liquid's you have to pour into that little plastic pot they give you. Can't remember the last time we used powder. Not green cred on this issue.
