I take it youve never been in incredibly tight spaces working with a plumber to fixGeorge wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 12:31 pm It’s the same advise now as it’s always been. Social distance , regular hand washing , and now if inside , wear a mask. Until we are given a proper breakdown of the make up of cases , it’s difficult to understand the virus. I doubt there have been many deaths outside of the vulnerable groups previously given.
There needs to be more emphasis on the scale of the problem. 70 million people in the Uk.Even if there were 100,000 deaths , it’s not enough to crash the economy.
Pipes uner a bath lets say , you are for example lifting a bath with your neck & back so
A plumber can squeeze his hands & head into a tight space to undo pipes , your holding onto a sink basin to give yourself a bit of extra weight in your pushing up off the bath with your hands, the plumber opens the pupe
Water shoots out of the pipe & hits you in the face , you instictively wipe the water from your face & eyes
The mask you are wearing becomes soaked so you need to dry it out , you touch it with your hands .
You dont know if the person in the flat has been coughing or sneezing , or indeed is asymptomatic.
Like I said before , you can NOT gaurentee saftey , you can follow all the guidelines you like
But you can NOT guarentee it .
