4-2-4
(Keeper )
Shorey Taylor Roeder Rofe
Grealish Allen
Chiedozie Fairbrother (Striker)Cunningham

Squeezed Shorey in at RB and put Cunningham on the left wing

or

Tony ( Paddy ) Grealish

2 of me favourites !
Paul Went - centre half - good enough to play for the os at 15
I believe Tommy Taylor also played for the O's aged 15

Not a bad team being assembled here that came through our youth system . Need a keeper and a striker
Two goalies who were good but only played a handful of games were Stave Bowtell and john Smeulders, but were better than a lot of keepers I have seen over the years
Your forward is Barry Fairbrother tormented the life out of defenders with his pace
But for me Paddy is up there because of bustling, hard tackling and aggression

Big Colin Foster could easily sit in the back 4 as well

John Smeulders was my best friend from the age of five, we were in the same infant, primary and secondary schools. We also played for the school cricket and football teams and he was always the best, played for England schoolboys. So yes KC good shout, put John in goal.

What about Ian Bowyer? Surely he has to be the most decorated player to have played for us?

As above, Bowyer had played 50 times for Man City before we signed him.

Very decorated though. Maybe just about squeaks past Peter Shilton.

Sorry Tuffers I didn’t link the title to the answer I gave, apologies for my oversight I will try to improve my eye to finger coordination when replying in future. I will now retire to the galley when I will repeatedly hit my hands with a rolling pin which has never been used for that purpose in its life.

Please accept my most humblest apologies for my error above.

Denis Rofe would definately be in the mix, a no nonsense tough tackling left back. He also went to my school alongside Terry Brisley.
Very quick as well, great attacking left back, apparently he was a winger converted to the fullback position. My favourite ever Orient left back.
