- Hundreds of thousands of people looking at the dole queue as Furlough ends.
- An economy spiralling into the abyss.
- Further economic uncertainty because of the entire Brexit clusterfcuk.
- Rising homelessness.
- A Care System in chaotic meltdown.
- The NHS in crisis and at breaking point.
Yet the Tories are still progressing with plans to waste millions of pounds on nuclear weapons. What complete and utter madness.
Things could be better, a lot better, than this.

Homelessness is not rising. The care system is fine where you have care providers who care, it’s the greedy people who are wrecking it. My wife’s nan was in a care home, private, lovely and nice and I say this as not one resident caught covid. NOT ONE. Why? Cos they did it properly, lockdown, full ppe, no messing around patients first, not profit, but care and attention. The nhs has just come through its biggest test ever faced in its life and came through very well, coped, never ran out of bed or ventilators, this is something to be proud of not slaughtering like you do.NuneatonO's wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 8:20 pm UK lobbies US to support controversial new nuclear warheads

Hmmmm, I think this needs some context. Between 2018 and 2019 it did indeed decrease about 9%. However between 2010 and now there has been a 141% increase.Thor wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 9:48 pmHomelessness is not rising. Re: Tory Watch
...that meant by 2018 the 5th or 6th richest nation in the world couldn't have turned around in 8 years?
When you create and use policies around the DWP like Universal Credit, create a job market reliant on zero hour/low hour contracts to improve your employment numbers, badly fund children's mental health services, force disabled people into poverty, don't create enough social housing and spend billions on vanity ideology rather than less vote worthy but necessary policy it will directly affect these numbers. Don't be an apologist for incompetence.

Re: Tory Watch
PO universal credit - don’t you think he premise of this is good? Fraud is cut down which has been a massive issue for the benefit system. Yes it has issues which if they iron them out and get them sorted then the reality of a one stop benefit to cover everything has to be better does it not?

Correct and it doesn’t take the DM to tell us this. It is wrong pure and simple. All governments do this and frankly it’s embarrassing cronyism at its worst. Another case of them all looking after each other and screw the rest of us I’m afraid.E10EU wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 2:10 am When even the Daily Mail expresses concerns about the Tory PM there must be a problem .....

You obviously didn’t read the report.it was a global but Brown actions/inactions meant our economy was hit harder than it should have been.. the term not fixing the roof when the sun shines was one used at the time.

Well the Tories claim they have been very successful with the economy, so the sun is shining. Have they fixed the roof or has it got 141% more damaged?
But but but but but.
