Home shirt

Post by BIGRON »

Just recieved a surprise parcel containing the new home shirt , unbeknowing to me it was ordered in May and has just arrived , although it's a lovely shirt that I will be proud to wear I thought that at 48 quid they could have put a proper badge on it and not what looks like an iron on one that will quickly fall apart 🤔

Oh no, not again.

Didn’t they learn from last season’s iron-on badge fiasco?

Football shirts are a rip off of the highest order. ( not just Orients...all of them)
They are glorified T shirts with a badge.
I have seen some football shirts, without the badge for as little as £12
They are made in sweat shops, where the workers are paid a pittance.

Football shirts are not supposed to be hard wearing; they are called rugby shirts. Football shirts are supposed to be "breathable" and lightweight.

Was that the game Lee Thorpe scored and they got 2 pretty close together at the end? I didn't leave a shirt but I didn't pick up my Pepsi lid. That'll f*cking show them.

ah, the moaners are out again!

Indeed, why expect anything better than last year? They are NOT Polo shirts, rather a way to support not only our club but also Harry Kane's nominated charities.
By the time the VAT man has taken his cut £4.00 and the club has given £5.00 to charity the actual money left for the club is £39.00. deduct from that all associated costs from manufacturing, handling, staffing etc do you still think it wrong that people willingly purchase memorabilia to show their support for both our club and a good charity? It's really rather sad that there is so little positivity on this thread. I got my shirts today and will wear one of them on Saturday to the pitch side lunch. But I also imagine that Moaners. Inc will feel that that is also a rip off and the drinks over priced...sometimes you just can't win.

Up the O's.

You are more than happy to pay to watch a substandard team on the pitch so no real surprise you’re happy to pay for a substandard shirt off the pitch.

How dare anyone complain for not getting a good return for almost 50 quid just got it has an orient badge on it - shame on you

As an aside, I wonder how many people who defend this actually buy shirts, either for themselves or their kids.

But regardless. Shouldn’t expect some quality when they blindly spend that sort of money? Shouldn’t the club be aiming for the highest standards to reward fans, especially at this time? Shouldn’t our job as fans be to hold our club to account if we feel they are taking the piss out of the fan base a little bit?

All due respect its a Football shirt not a Fashion item
Designed to be worn maybe 40 tims a year on a saturday .

As for that sort of money
Ive owned socks that have cost more than that in the past .
Ok mine were bought at cost price & not retail , but anyone
who thinks that quality & a poly man made fibre belong in th same sentence
Needs to be re-educated quickly .
