Centre forward skills

Post by DuvB »

I dont mind if its Sotiriou or a younger version of Harrold but imo, they need to be able to hold the ball up and bring others into play. Yes, a scorer of goals as well but the only way I see our other forwards scoring if we have someone who can link up with them. Lisbie, where are you?

20 goal a season striker would be immensely helpful but then most other clubs would say the same.

Do you want a younger version of Harold out of interest?

They'll need a decent training kit to develop their skills.

Shame we probably have one of them already here but he looks like moving on.

I always liked Vic Halom, only at the club from 1967–1968 and sold when only around 21 years old, sold far too early in his career at the Os, I suppose Vic was sold due to the clubs financial problems. I remember around that time when a bucket was being passed around the terraces for cash donations.

Although a lot was made about the bucket meeting it was Haloms fee that kept the club above water, I agree though Sid good player.

I really liked Vic, a very physical player who could look after himself even as a youngster. If I remember rightly, the club got £35,000 from Fulham when we sold him, which was a pretty decent fee for a young player back then.

Tottenham have a18 year old center forward Kion Etete 6'4" i think he scored 8 goals in thirteen appearances for thier under 18's last season. He was signed from Notts County last summer played a few games for County.
Never seen him play but highly thought off at Spurs and with our links you never know. Probably lacks the experience we need but when you have little money it just could happen.

Wouldn’t mind although I would have anyone who can bring our non-scoring forwards into the game more than last year
