Cowley Sacked at Huddersfield
Danny Cowley got the tin tack at Huddersfield.
He did the job he was brought in to do, & then they sack him
Big mistake IMO

Re: Cowley Sacked at Huddersfield
That is one of the worst sackings I've seen in a long, long time. They were so lucky to have the Cowley's. They are headed to the top. Football is grim sometimes.

Re: Cowley Sacked at Huddersfield
They would have been 13th apparently, if the seasons started when they came in. Having had 1 point in 9 games previous and with one objective of keeping them up, which they've done. Got to be a personal issue. Insane.

Well they won't be out of work for long, that's for sure . I agree it's a completely bonkers decision. I think Huddersfield would have progressed next season but now I reckon they'll struggle.KC & sunshine band wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2020 2:51 pm whats the chance of getting them in has , assistant assistant first team coach, and assistant assistant assistant first team coach

Seems as if the Cowleys wanted a bigger budget than the club can afford

It’s a funny old game – Huddersfield, Colchester, I’d throw in Bristol City too – wonder realistically what these clubs expect.

Nigel Pearson now sacked by Watford:
https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... ed-watford
This is a guy that managed to steer Watford into beating both Liverpool and Manchester United!
In just a few months, he's taken them from bottom of the league to 3 points clear of the relegation zone.
Pearson is the third manager to be sacked by Watford this Season. What an utter bunch of clowns must run that place.
As you quite rightly say above EDO, It really does make you wonder what some of these Chairmen and Directors expect.......short of bleedin miracles.

Watford's owners in particular have a reputation for being very trigger happy with managers.NuneatonO's wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2020 3:41 pm Nigel Pearson now sacked by Watford:

Re: Cowley Sacked at Huddersfield
I was with friends last weekend having dinner and one of them son's is on Colchester books and I spoke to him about what's going on down there. He said that any player out of contract was let go, he said it didn't matter how good they were or the potential they had they were gone. We've seen good first team players go and any player below that, well they had zero chance of a contract.
He went on to say the owner is wealthy and runs Colchester via the turnover of his other businesses, but as most are hit hard by the crisis we are in and not a lot of turnover happening he thinks Colchester might just find it hard at this moment. He did quantify it by saying but the owner is proper rich.

Re: Cowley Sacked at Huddersfield
Wonder if the Cowleys will end up back in the Essex area Colchester or Southend, although both clubs have financial issues so not a good career move. Probably looking for a championship or top half division one team now they have been there.

Re: Cowley Sacked at Huddersfield
Don't get all this love in for the Cowley brothers. Huddersfield finished 7th from bottom of the championship , so not exactly manager of the year material...

Re: Cowley Sacked at Huddersfield
How did they do if you change the base to only cover the time the Cowleys were in charge?
