Usually on Twitter, but keeping opinions to 140 characters is hard work, putting it into a memo to then screenshot is just effort, and then keyboard warriors on there seem to soil themselves and go quiet as soon as someone replies who has even a remote shred of intelligence

Personally, I don't really care if she comes back or not.
I'm prepared to put her "death to infidels" stance down to the impetuosity of youth.

Many of us went off on tangents when we were younger, which we probably regret. She was probably fed a load of stuff in a mosque about how horrific Britain was, and how Syria was the place to be. It seems clear she underwent some sort of grooming process.

Let's not forget that (in my opinion) any form of religious extremism is in effect a mental illness- it utterly defies logic.

She's decamped to Syria, realised it's an utter latrine and that the UK is okay really; and no doubt wants to come back and spawn some offspring.

I think that the point being ignored is that a High Court Judge has said she should be allowed back so that her claim against loss of citizenship can be conducted fairly. Only after that will any other decision or action be taken.

How has she managed to obtain legal aid in the UK without being here and not being a British Citizen anymore? There must be some powerful support behind this action to appeal.

Because we dont live under a dictatorship our government's decisions are open to legal challenge, and although cut to the bone there is still legal aid available for those that can't pay in some circumstances. Surely only the hardest of thinking would think it a good thing that someone could be stripped of their citizenship on the say so of a minister and without any challenge.

It's blindingly obvious the government have acted unlawfully, as Beradogs has already pointed out in his own way it's an easy win for a government that has alrwady shown it's willingness to act unlawfully to have the tabloids frothing about 'uman rights and outrageous legal aid bills.

I dont buy into the idea that there are any strategic geniuses at the heart of this government, it's all depressingly simple - to lie so often that challenging each lie becomes exhausting, to create division at every opportunity and to blame process and oversight for blocking their grand plans to help everyone. It's quite sweet really that even as they blatantly enrich themselves in the middle of a crisis people still think that their aim is to somehow help the average Joe.

The right thing to do is to drag her back here, even if for no other reason that it's just not cricket to leave other countries to do our dirty work.

The government are playing politics with her and, while we can despise her and what she stands for, this sets a dangerous precedent. None of us should be happy about that, even if we're not sympathetic to Shamima.

However, can we drop the sob-story bollocks and going on about how she was 'groomed'? That is absolutely disrespectful to real victims of grooming.

She was never sought out for manipulation, she sought it out herself. She liked what she saw so much that she was prepared to give up everything to embrace it. To enforce it, even. And the only reason she wants back in now is because ISIS was bombed to smithereens.

I listened to a few interviews with the news crew who originally found her in that refugee camp. As well as interviewing Shamima they also interviewed many of the other ISIS supporters there. I suggest you do the same, because the people who have actually spoken to Shamima and her cohorts are in no way fooled by her and are not exactly cheerleaders for her repatriation either. Think about why that may be.

Sure, she was/is young, and we can all argue that we've done stupid things when we were younger. But joining an extreme religious death cult that actively kills and sexually enslaves non-believers is not quite the same thing as dropping a couple of pills at a rave.

Her publicity team have shown themselves to be very shrewd, so I wouldn't put it past them to throw a complete curve ball and go for broke. Perhaps her releasing a grime/drill track eschewing the virtues of mass consumption and neo-liberal capitalism? By then that may be retro-shtick, which definitely has it's audience.

Greta is an intelligent young lady who is supporting a good cause. As for Shamima Begum, well she brought into the evil cult of ISIS, the evils of what this death cult were doing was no secret and news of its barbaric slaughter and rape of those poor people had been broadcast all over the news media well before she and her two friends decided to join them. If she must come back, then a long stiff sentence in jail followed by strict monitoring for the rest of her life with no mobile phone or internet access allowed for her to use.
