I look forward to seeing proven quality signings before the season starts for our new assistant coach to coach.
Did Justin Edinburgh not teach you that ?
Last season was traumatic due to him passing .
Lets judge during & after this coming season eh .
You can learn how to be a boss. You canโt learn how to be a leader.
Death affects even the greatest of leaders
Just look at Rushdens results before & after December
Or before the death of Dale Roberts or after.

Two silly comments.Ornchurch wrote: โTue Jul 14, 2020 5:25 pmYou give your head a wobble.Thor wrote: โTue Jul 14, 2020 5:02 pm Welcome Danny and I wish you all the best and hopefully you can help this club progress forwards and upwards.
For those of you that have suggested or have thought about suggesting we've appointed Danny to fit the current bame criteria need to go and wobble your heads somewhat.
After all of the attention over the last couple of months on the lack of black coaches the appointment of a black coach so soon after is going to attract questions over whether he was chosen on ability or colour.
These issues cut either way.

Re: Danny Senda - New assistant Head Coach appointed.
Also, just on the appointment, I'd have been surprised if Embleton and Ling brought in a senior figure purely as it'd lead to most people speculating on when said senior figure would be taking over from Embleton etc etc. That sort of speculation isn't just limited to fans - any player sitting in the dressing room now seeing such a person being appointed would think the same. Human nature makes that unavoidable. Regardless of what any of us think, Ling, Travis and Teague are not going to do anything that could undermine Embleton after making a big noise about him being the right appointment after the Fletcher debacle.
That being said, there are plenty of young coaches both inside the game and on the periphery who have innovative methods that need to make career progress. Personally, I'm pleased that LOFC are offering an opening to someone like Danny Senda rather than re-appointing an "experienced" figure with nothing new to offer. You're constantly hearing the complaint that young coaches aren't getting opportunities and the same old faces are picking up management jobs yet the minute such an appointment is made, there's moaning about appointing an inexperienced coach. I'm more than happy to see young coaches getting breaks at this level. Fingers crossed he'll be the right foil for RE that benefits both parties and the players.
Oh and heh at Ornchurch's BAME nonsense.

I donโt care if he is black, white or pink. What are we doing with so many chiefs and no good Indians. I am making the call, we are getting relegated this year.

Re: Danny Senda - New assistant Head Coach appointed.
Nobody knows how Danny Senda will perform; not least because I wouldn't imagine that the majority of us even know who Danny Senda is!
Obviously, I wish him every success.
However (and it's a very big however to my mind), was his appointment an absolute priority at this time; given our lack of any meaningful additions to our actual playing squad?
I believe that there used to be an old Equity Rule in Showbiz which stated if the number of acts playing on the bill outnumbered the amount of people in the audience, they could refuse to perform and still get paid. The way things are going with the suits v the shorts at our Club, I'm wondering if our players would be better off joining Equity, rather than the PFA?

Re: Danny Senda - New assistant Head Coach appointed.
Club hires an experienced coach and results don't go well, peoples reaction will be along the lines of:
"Why did we hire a dinosaur of a coach who is passed his best? Why didn't we look at bringing in a younger more progressive coach?"
Club hires a younger less experienced coach, but more progressive coach and results don't go well, peoples reaction will be along the lines of:
"Its experience we need! Why didn't we get an experienced person in, why are we wasting our time with coaches who've never been involved with a first team?"
With coaching positions, you're damned if you do, damned if you don't as far as I'm concerned.
If results are poor certain people will select one of the two above options and if results do go well, then chances are nobody will mention about a positive impact the backroom staff make. Mainly because people are more cynical and are quicker to jump on negatives rather then positives - but that isn't just football, thats life in general.

Have we pinched him from Barnet or did they let him go?

Some people on this board just have to moan and make idiotic unhelpful comments. One could almost think that these moaners and critics wanted the O's to fail.

Iโm sure a few of you were at Barnet prior to us winning the league and that day they totally bossed us, out played us and out smarted us all over the pitch. That day they were very impressive, and they looked a good team ready to press on.

Re: Danny Senda - New assistant Head Coach appointed.
This is nearly as bad as when we appointed our youth team coach barely months into his first coaching job to sit alongside another rookie manager Martin Ling within the first team, both without experience, with whom we had just finished 19th (as opposed to 17th this season).
Don't think Dean Smith is even still in football.

Re: Danny Senda - New assistant Head Coach appointed.
Good luck to him and I hope he does well but Ling is taking the absolute f*cking piss now.
After binning off Reece Ottley and Emma Baughurst (who had been at the club for 5 years) the other week and saying โbut in the current economic climate Iโve had to reduce numbers of staff". He's now hired a bloke we didn't actually need. Absolutely shocking.
