Firstly, I did not vote for Starmer QC for leader.

However, I think he's bridged the gap pretty effectively from where we stood, as a party, last April.

He's not what I would consider a left-wing Labour Leader. I still believe that Jeremy Corbyn would have made a fantastic Prime Minister and led our Country to a fairer, successful, more decent society. I absolutely adore the guy; and it's still gut-wrenching that he was oh so evidently destroyed by the constant lies and character assassination from the media.

However, I am not backing Starmer out of blind loyalty to the Labour Party. I am backing him because a Labour Government under his leadership, would be a darn sight better option than the godforesaken bunch of lying, incompetent Tory charlatans that we have now.

Starmer, in my honest opinion, is destroying Johnson at Prime Minister's Question Time each week. Let's be honest - how many people actually watch this? They simply follow the lies and biased reporting of the BBC and the majority of the Tory-supporting MSM. Therefore, what more would anyone have suggested he'd done by this stage?

Whether he makes a successful Labour Leader is impossible to say after 100 days in office; particularly during these somewhat unprecedented times.

However, I've seen enough so far to be pleased rather than disappointed.

More importantly, clearly so are many of the UK Electorate.

But I find it quite depressing that Starmer is determined to take Labour back to Tory-Lite. He even appointed a former Blair big wig to the post of General Secretary now.

Starmer has brought all the noisiest Corbyn haters to his shadow cabinet: Jess Philips, Wes Streeting, Lisa Nandy, Rachel Reeves .... and many others.
Rachel Reeves was the one who acquired fame by resigning from Corbyn's shadow cabinet even though he hadn't actually offered her a post yet!

I think it has been handled very well, the smearing has been admitted and the staff compensated. The people involved with the smears should now be excluded from the party, if they were ever members in the first place.

Meanwhile in Brighton three Labour councillors have been forced to resign over anti-semitic postings resulting in the running of the council being handed back to the Greens. It would have been so easy to white-wash it over and stay in power, but they did the right thing. Well done Nancy Platts, the Labour Leader.
