Re: I’m calling it now
Best possible result for Orient today.
Anyone looking at our better players would not have been impressed.
Anyone that thinks this group is super special is wrong.
Lots of work to do but the foundations are there.

Re: I’m calling it now
And Wembley Stadium with its idiotic lack of male urinals and it’s plastic over priced ‘food’ can do one too

This f*cking stop/go system for getting to the station to get out of this cultural desert is also completely oppressive -

Re: I’m calling it now
Spot on, on the whole we were poo poo, letting a team that didn’t get promoted beat us just goes to show how much we desperately need new quality players.

We were cack today yet we still hit the post three times. No complaints about the result but I think we were a bit unlucky today .

We haven't got a very good record there. I've been there now three times and seen us lose all three.ContrifibulatoryFred wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2019 6:45 pm I hate Wembley - it’s a terrible experience just getting there and back

Re: I’m calling it now
We should have won the league about a month earlier but the flaws were there. So today's result doesn't really surprise me.
Fylde did us a real favour beating Salford that time.

Re: I’m calling it now
Yeah, I suppose we did owe them one. Funny though I don't feel a tenth of the disappointment I felt after we lost to Rotherham . Glaringly obvious again from today that our central midfield needs strengthening .MrB wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2019 7:18 pmYou ain’t kidding buddy!!Howling Mad Murdock wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2019 7:15 pm We should have won the league about a month earlier but the flaws were there. So today's result doesn't really surprise me.

Re: I’m calling it now
Why? If you want to replay individual games in isolation then even if Salford had have won against Fylde we'd have still gone up as winners. They weren't even the runners up.Howling Mad Murdock wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2019 7:15 pm We should have won the league about a month earlier but the flaws were there. So today's result doesn't really surprise me.

Re: I’m calling it now
Was very disappointed with the performance today.
We beat Fylde 3-1 at their place and in our 2-0 win at home I thought we played some excellent passing football to dominate the game.
So in the 1st half today we just never got our passing going at all and decided to play hoof ball to Bonne and Koroma who have almost no aerial ability or threat. We are also playing on a spacious pitch and play without wingers. I was totally puzzled by our tactics in the 1st half and the players used to carry them out.
Big improvement 2nd half but we just never had any confidence or conviction in front of goal.
My priority signings would be in central midfield - energetic play makers , no strollers please.

Re: I’m calling it now
I agree that losing may have actually been a blessing in disguise.
Had we won we might have gone into next season strutting our funky stuff as double winners. There may have been a misplaced illusion of greatness and invincibility.
As pointed out elsewhere on this board, we also failed to score in our last two league matches as well as the final yesterday.
The club is doing well but the squad and team is still a work in progress.

This is sadly very true again. Their MOTM illustrated there decent midfielders around - we need to get a couple in.

Agreed - plenty of work to be done to finish half way upL2 next season . JE needs to shuffle the pack and be tough.
