Re: Proposed start date for new EFL season
How do those dates coincide with with Premier League? Also McGleish said that money league won't return till next year, anyone got anything further on that?
I would have thought that the Premier, EFL and the semi pro leagues will all need to work in unison for a start date. Without that I don't see how it can flow seamlessly.

Heard from a member of the Orient grounds team that October has been mentioned as the start date

Re: Proposed start date for new EFL season
That's probably more realistic as the premier will need a few weeks break before starting again.

Re: Proposed start date for new EFL season
No reason why the EFL shouldn't start before the premier league. As long as there is no spike in Covid cases, Early/mid September should be realistic. The later the start the more chance that more clubs will go under. Once a start date is agreed clubs should be able to get seasonal monies from the EFL.
As long as testing is not deemed a necessity should be aiming for a September start.

Re: Proposed start date for new EFL season
Wouldn't be surprised if we start on 12th September with the Prem and the Championship a week later. It'll give the players from those 2 divisions a short break and then back in for a 5 or 6 week pre season. Fa cup replays are a gonner next season and they should probably knock the football league trophy on the head.

I've already coughed, but I'll be furious if this is the case.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 8:58 pm Absolutely no chance am I paying £300 odd quid for f*cking streaming Leyton Orient’s games all season

Wouldn't be surprised if it started off behind closed doors but doubt it'll last all season.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 11:29 amI've already coughed, but I'll be furious if this is the case.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 8:58 pm Absolutely no chance am I paying £300 odd quid for f*cking streaming Leyton Orient’s games all season

I did, I think he may have stepped down now. He is however, still at the county level.Digby Chicken Caesar wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 11:04 amWould've thought you would know someone on the FA board
