Play-off Final day at the old Wembley against Scunthorpe. Coming out of Wembley Park Staion on to Empire Way. On the right hand side of the road was a big arrow signposted Orient fans. On the left hand side of the road, a similar large arrow saying Scunthorpe fans. Except some wag had completely obliterated the capital S. Made my day.

Beating Preston at home 4-0, Bowles pinging 40 yard passes with the outside of his boot into the stride of Cheidozie who had the full back on toast all afternoon. One of my favourite Os performances ever. even Nobby Stiles the Preston manager said it was some of the best football he had ever seen and if we had scored 10 that day he would have had no complaints.

The 0-0 draw at the end of the NL season. Not a great game, no goals. But I will never forget that feeling at the end knowing that we had finally gotten out of the National League, back into League football. I detested NL football with a passion.

I’ve been lucky enough to witness many exciting games, the 3-2 win over Chelsea, the Promotion win at Oxford. Being in the Crowd when we recorded our 34,345 attendance. Seen our 8-0 wins and 9-2 in the cup against Chester. Wins over Manchester United, Spurs, West Ham and the like.

All great memories and some great incidents, drama and goals.

But nothing will ever top that 0-0 draw.

Agree Dohnut re the Braintree 0-0 – wonderful to experience, and despite having been in A&E in Norwich with some eye scratch close on the previous midnight, I was never going to fail to be there, eye patch or not!

A couple of great escapes also spring to mind – one when we blew Sheffield United away at Brisbane Road 4-1 to scramble out of the Third Division relegation places on the final day. What an atmosphere that was, and Millwall also survived that day courtesy of their sixth straight win. The other one I wasn’t even there, but it was a relegation scrap like no other.

End of the 77-78 season, which had gone on for three games beyond the end of the regular season end date, and everyone was just doing enough in their games in hand to survive the drop from the old Second Division. The last of all matches was us at Cardiff, we had to win, and having only won once away all season. No radio coverage I could get, no internet then, remember waiting for the scores at the end of the BBC news and just hoping. Up it popped …. Cardiff 0 Orient 1. Massive relief, good old Peter Kitchen! Blackpool I think were 14th when they played their final game, tumbled through the trap-door to the third tier for the first time in their history, and we rose almost to mid table, one of seven teams who finished just a point above the drop zone.

Peanuts a tanner a bag, the Fat Fryer. Sitting on the wall in the East Stand enclosure with the police telling you to keep your legs spectator side of it. End of the game spending 10 minutes trying to get circulation back into numb legs. 69/70 promotion season, Barry Fairbrother, Mark Lazarus, Mark Cooper kicking the oppo deliberately in the shin during a reserve game at a "dropped ball". Bill Roffey and "that punch" and him being amazed every time he came back to O's that people still remembered him let alone revered him. Stan Bowles taking a bow after hitting a cross field ball and in response to the crowd's appreciation. The old Brisbane Road Stadium, the old Supported Club premises in under and to the side of the East Stand. Useless Eustace being ignored by the players during then end of his reign, the bizarre spectacle that was the Cheery O's. Falling off the same wall when a lot older and celebrating after the Wrexham promotion game. Oxford away, Arsenal Home, Tottenham at home in the League cup and Godfrey's goals (Graham Roberts did for us on his own in the away leg). Playing cricket against Gordon Riddick and having several glasses whilst talking about his time at the O's. Meeting Kitch and Joe a few years ago and enjoying a beer with them in the Supporters Club. Getting that Cnut Bullshitty out of the Club. Well you did ask.....so many more as well. Leyton Orient has been one of the best things in my life and I absolutely love the Club despite the social ridicule of being a supporter. Despite the setbacks and trauma, so much to make me smile. Oh, and Kent Teague always makes me smile with his boundless enthusiasm and celebrations when we score.

- Coxy playoff goal v peterborough and the pitch invasion afterwards. Was convinced it was meant to be that season.

- Out of context of what happened after, the two wembley goals v rotherham which were both great goals that have been lost to what happened next, but in the moment were exuberayting.

- Andy Whings goal v Bristol R at home.

- Final whistle away at Norwich in the FA Cup.

- Hendersons goal away at Donny on a freezing Tuesday night that was also my birthday.

- Leaving Suttons ground with a win...i still couldn't believe it by the time i got home (which was about 4 hours later due to train issues). I thought we's blown it.

- Wolves away in Dec 2013. Was on a bit of a tour of the country with my mates for new years and the atmosphere that day matched our moods. Outstanding seeing us walk out, top of the league, playing in front of 30 odd thousand people. Cant believe we didnt lose 5-0 that day but it showed our toughness in one game to come away with a point. night out in Birmingham after until about 5am.
