Re: Favourite Footballers
David Villa was a player I loved watching. Until i looked on Wiki, i didnt realise how prolific a goalscorer he was.
His international record for Spain is 59 goals in 98 appearances !!!

Re: Favourite Footballers
My Top 3:
1. Kwame Ampadu - for living proof that, despite being in front of thousands of people, you can actually be invisible for 90 minutes.
2. Kwame Ampadu - for proving that you can play in the rain and mud for those 90 minutes; yet still look absolutely gleaming and pristine in your white football shirt, at the end of the game. I believe that he later went on to do Persil adverts.
3. Kwame Ampadu - for showing how even if you are bone idle and never bother to put a challenge in; nor have the ability to distribute a decent ball (in other words 'do sod all') you can still get picked by the manager each week.
Such an inspirational player, forever etched in my memory.

Re: Favourite Footballers
Matt Lockwood said that Joe Keith was he's favourite player to play with down the left hand side of the pitch. Good footballer, intelligent and would cover when Matty bombed forward.

I’m guessing you mean Terry Mancini and not the American composer!KC & sunshine band wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 10:23 am Ray Goddard

Mancini was one of my very first memories as a kid at Brisbane Road, used to turn up at corners and power the ball into the net from that shiny head. Good call on most there.
For me Peter Kitchen and Peter Allen stand out for the O’s.
