I saw many of them when I worked at a London auction house, they were bizarre. He would wrap up anything in paper, cloth or anything else he could find. Rumour had it that at another London auction house one of the porters unwrapped one of his works and threw the paper and string into a bin. The experts spent hours putting it all back together again exactly how Christo wrapped it.

You can’t get a much better honour than your name becoming a bit of rhyming slang.

Not really my cup of tea, but even I know her big hits. She had an amazing career and long life. Not bad for a lass from East Ham who almost copped it to disease as a nipper.
