Dear oh dear.

Suffolk Police have issued a public apology after two officers stopped a middle-aged black couple and demanded they show their IDs because they were "driving a motor vehicle on a road".

Footage of the incident, in which one officer apparently accuses the couple of "jumping on the bandwagon" of the Black Lives Matter protests

Unbelievable!

Two more rotten apples uncovered. Let's hope they undergo some race awareness training.

So are you bringing this up in mitigation of the original story. Which was two people assaulting a police officer?.

That is between you and your conscience. But I believe you know the right answer, my son.

Doesn't matter what colour they are they shouldn't be attacking someone.
Sensible comment.
It looked very much to me from the video that the cop was the one who started the violence.
So you make a judgement without knowing the full story? As I understand it, a person had been assaulted and then flagged down the Police who got involved. Doing their job to help a member of the public who had allegedly been assaulted. So putting themselves in harms way to help others.

That makes it their fault does it?

The first sentence was the point I was making. Sorry if you are too thick to get it.

You then go on to desribe a situation handed to you by third parties and then pontificate about it as if you are in posession of the full FACTS, and you share that style with the other empty headed twats who also post on here.

I won't be replying to the next barrel load of pish you post.

lol. I honestly dont know why. What you getting at? I know loads of east london is run down still, I lived in tower hamlets not long ago but not really up to date with Hackney. I know quite a few people who live there who love it.

45 years ago I worked on hackney downs station maintenance
of the track nice area then, now I would not walk down there at night without a shot gun by my side.
Why though?

Are you saying east london was a nicer place in 1975?
you said you haven't been down to east London for a while
best go and take a look, when you have time make sure you go in daylight.

I think there are a lot of places that 'aren't as safe as they used to be'.

Of course, that has nothing whatsoever to do with the 23,500 cuts in Copper numbers under Tory Governments since 2010, does it.

a good point. I also think that it is a disgrace that police cuts happened.
I would like to see 30.000 more on the street like in my younger days,
they used to walk the beat every where and if you where cheeky you'd get a clip around the nut
and your parents would say you probably deserved it and that would be the end of it.

The recruitment has been ramped up massively but you can't replace experience so it's only half the story.

As an aside, on the matter of nostalgia - if the east end was so much nicer in the 70s and 80s, how come so many families (including mine) f*cked off out of it into the environs of Woodford etc as soon as there was an opportunity?

Spoiler - I’ve just checked this with my parents who confirm that it was better here than living in a “crime filled shithole”.

Well it does if they just randomly walked up to someone .
Because someone was in the area .

Still not like people dont phone the police & say things like

I think you're actually right on that point.

The amount of Yuppies that moved into Wapping during the mid-80's, got right on my tits.

East Londons a great place to be .
I walked home from shoredìtch about 5 years ago to walthamstow .
Through Dalston & Hackney , the only night bus that passed me was.when i was
8 /10ths of the way home .

Does you good to have a night time stroll home once every so often .
Dalston looked like it was still buzzing , almost like a later shoreditch .
Was only mid 2015 or so . Its probably even better now.
