NuneatonO - Daily Mail doing you Proud
A pretty damming article in the mail against the government, I’m sure NO will be praising the writings as it echoes his continued and repeated words on here.

The government has been too namby pandy in its actions to stop the spread of this virus and dont forget that the Labour party supported most of the governments actions from day one. Other countries went in far harder, we should have done the same. I think the worry was that we are a very liberal minded Country and that some of the people, especially those who live in the large cities ( many of whom have refused to take in the advice given ) would have taken to the streets if the sort of stricter measures taken in more authoritarian Country's had been adopted.

I don't think that we are generally a liberal country but that the liberals and human rights lot tend to make a lot more noise.

With 4 and a half years of a Tory Govt, with a large majority, to go, the right wing rags can afford to do a bit of actual critical journalism without upsetting the gravy train. Especially with Starmer drifting into the middle ground, so posing no threat to the tax dodging, low paying capitalists or the rentier Establishment status quo. The Mail’s been a bit less loony since Dacre got replaced as editor, but you get the feeling they aren’t keen on Cummings ( & his patsy Johnson’s) disruptive ideas and wouldn’t mind seeing a change of Tory leader.

Aussie PM Scott Morrison went berserk when the Aussies crowded Bondi Beach. Called it a national disgrace, Australia a laughing stock. Next day, the beach was empty! No pissing about, job done.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 9:02 am The government has been too namby pandy in its actions to stop the spread of this virus and dont forget that the Labour party supported most of the governments actions from day one. In the U.K. when we want to get tough all we get are people going on about a police state, cops being too heaving handed, dicks like Farage whinging, public protest marches. Media frenzy about our rights being eroded.
Then we wonder why the death rate ain’t going down quickly enough.

As we are now seeing in the uk wide protests today. Then people wonder as to why so many Coronavirus deaths in this Country. Mindless mob violence today and much unwarranted hostility being directed towards the police officers.Dohnut wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 3:23 pmAussie PM Scott Morrison went berserk when the Aussies crowded Bondi Beach. The reason Johnson is weak, is because he's a popularist, and he does what the people want, to remain popular.
He isn't a leader at all, and never was, and never will be
