Maybe there was a duplication of roles with Dean Brill on the coiaching staff but disappointing re Emma. Good luck to both but sadly sign of the times

Re: Sports Scientist & GK coach
Isn't Brill one of the actual coaches now, effectively Embletons no 2?

More like jobs for the boy signed to a ridiculous contract extension and having to give him a coaching role to get some moneysworth out of that terrible deal.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 1:40 pm Still jobs for the boys then.

Re: Sports Scientist & GK coach
Ling gives his sh*t son a new contract and then a few months later waves goodbye to the sports scientist who has been at the club for 5 years due to the economic climate. How many other contracts did he give out that didn't warrant one?
It wasn't long ago the club were advertising for someone to report on the youth team games without even paying for travel and refreshments.

What experienced number 2 is going to come and work for an inexperienced number 2?

Dave Toyn Head of Marketing also left the club today.
We wont be getting an external bod coming in as No2 to Ross. Either Brill will double up as goalkeeping coach and Ross's right hand man, or they offer Jobi a Player/Assistant head coach gig.
Don't expect too many players coming in this season unless one or more of the players with a contract offer decides to leave, budgets are being "adjusted" because of the lack of income from attendances, everyone in our division will be in the same boat.

Re: Sports Scientist & GK coach
Some rationalisation of the structure. Ross, Jobi, Brill. Enough to cover the roles. Money it tight. Like you say, most other clubs in the same position.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 10:35 pm Dave Toyn Head of Marketing also left the club today.

Maybe get some decent loans financed by the parent club. Let’s see just how good our relationship is with Spurs.

All about rationalisation and survival.
Getting a new manager or assistant is about as laughable as Liz’s new boat.

unfortunately that just means another bottom half finish...which I'm non-plussed about currently.

Re: Sports Scientist & GK coach
So are we scrapping the sports science part of our club? Or do we have more people involved in that aspect of the team?

Could well be but many other clubs in Division one and two will also be scraping the barrel. I also wonder if any clubs in Division one and two, plus some of the ones in the National league, will be dropping out of their leagues due to the financial problems caused by the virus ?
