Perhaps they may return one way or another?

Don`t understand the Dayton situation. He has only played 15 games this season and it looks like that`s enough to give him another year. Not good enough IMO.

Decent squad size and not too bad in strength for what will be a very odd season. Would love Cisse to come back. Hope Dayton can offer a full season of availability.

Doesn't it say there that he is still in contract?

I find it strange that Dayton has been retained ( he was out of contract ) apart from anything else regarding his form etc, he seems to be one of those unfortunate players who pick's up injuries on a far too regular basis. Like the other comments on here, really hope that Cisse can be with us next season. Encouraging that we are talking to Marvin, Jobi, Ruel and Shadrach about extending their stay at the club.

I thought that after the bad injury he sustained in our away game against Sutton Utd near the end of our promotion season from the National League, that he was given just a one year deal that only covered last season, our first season back in Division 2 ?

Dayton was given some sort of pay as you play contract I think? Amazed he has been retained - Not because of his ability or attitude, but because of his injury and fitness record. He doesn't complete 90mins very often, if ever.

Next summer is going to be huge in terms of players leaving I would have thought, so many players deals expire next summer.

I was hoping we’d offer them both new contracts. Cisse made a big difference to our central midfield and Marsh has proven himself to be a better RB than both Ling and Judd put together

I think the boys in discussion are not as free as they thought they would be because most squads will now be shrinking in size and so their opportunities to move are now more limited. All 3 youngsters could do with another couple of years at the club, the market will improve and they will get better quality football if they improve during their next contract. I expect all 3 to sign (he says hoping).

Quite surprised that JMD isn't being sought by pastures further afield?

Same could perhaps be said for Dan Happe - although (probably alone on this one) I think he's a tad overrated.

I guess many clubs are watching their purse strings given the current situation.

Squad looks bloated to me. Happy with the people we are having contract negotiations with but those contract extensions from the end of last season look awful to me. But there you go.

There’s already 24 players there which is a decent sized squad. Can’t see us adding more than 1 or 2, right?

I have no problem with the released players, but the squad looks a bit on the big side to me.
Much will depend on getting Cisse to sign for us along with Sotiriou.
I’d like to see Marsh come back and let Judd leave as I can’t see home getting many games.
Hopefully Marvin will agree a deal too.

I believe Cisse is now out of contract at Gillingham so now he's a free agent . With Marsh , who knows but I would be happy to see him back in an Orient shirt .

Same, fingers crossed we can somehow get them back on board for 20-21 👍

The list of players out of contract seemed to be far longer a couple of months ago, assume the list of contracted players includes those who have signed in the last month.

Squad of 24 but 4 are youngsters and Jobi may only be a player/Coach. Of course Brill no longer plays so, including loans, our squad has reduced by 8, maybe 12 if contract negotiations fail. A little room for the odd addition, money permitting.

Our chances of keeping Ekpiteta and Sortiriou will have improved, I’m sure there will be plenty of players looking for clubs. Won’t be that easy for them right now in what will be a buyers market.

Dayton had a 1 year deal with an additional 1 year extension option. Don’t know the details of the extension option, maybe his choice.

What I do hope is that our squad work hard on fitness and players have used their time to recover from knocks. Though with reduced contact working with a physio will be difficult over FaceTime. I felt we seemed off the pace last season following the step up.

Given the current situation I think we are in OK shape. Another season of consolidation.
