An Elected leader & elected Politician respects corona virus rules.
An unelected british man quotes Goverment rules to save his arse.

If only we had this superb woman in charge of us:
https://www.irishtimes.com/news/world/a ... -1.4261871
Meanwhile, unflappable as always:
https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-newze ... KKBN2300RT
A leader respected and adored; not only by her own New Zealanders but across the World.
What have we got?
A pompous, lying, cheating, privileged, bone-idle oaf.
I envy them. I really do.

Re: Dutch PM follows lockdown rules
Indeed.
However, as you'll probably know, even when they have a severe earthquake, they get things up and running effectively.
In the UK, one inch of snow and all modes of transportation generally come to a standstill.
I think my major dislike of the UK comes from S*n readers and their ilk; believing that England is just oh so wonderful; best at everything; that we're the only ones with any 'Bulldog Spirit', etc.
A small nation, such as New Zealand, leaves us in their wake in so many ways.
In reality, the UK is now a two-bob country; with an ongoing lack of any respect whatsoever.
It's oh so very sad.

That's your opinion, and you are entitled to it.NuneatonO's wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 10:27 am I think my major dislike of the UK comes from S*n readers and their ilk; believing that England is just oh so wonderful; best at everything; that we're the only ones with any 'Bulldog Spirit', etc.
There are an equal number of people who despair of the Guardian readers who believe that England is oh so awful, and their continual running down of the country, especially in difficult times like these.
Those same people wonder why, if England is such a dreadful place to live, so many people want to come and live here, including thousands from New Zealand and millions from a multitude of countries in Europe, and why people like you, who clearly hate it so much, don't just find somewhere else to live where I am sure they will be more happy and at peace with themselves.

We plan to move to Fremantle, Western Australia, when we retire in a couple of years.
Wheels already in motion.
Enjoy England, or what's going to be left of it.
Keep waving your Union Jack and singing 'God save the Queen'.

Re: Dutch PM follows lockdown rules
If chauvinism and gutter press are the reasons you dislike the UK, fear you might be in for a bit of a surprise when you move to Australia fella. It's a finishing school for Tory party hacks.
Re: Dutch PM follows lockdown rules
I hope you achieve your dream and enjoy your retirement there, genuinely, it looks nice.NuneatonO's wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 11:48 am

Climate data for Freemantle suggests that it can be a tad warm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fremantle#Climate
Whenever I hear of someone thinking of moving to Australia, it always reminds me of the diary of a pom in Western Australia.
Good luck.
