On that basis, what hope does the poor kid have. Eugenicism has a habit of biting you where it hurts.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Mon May 25, 2020 1:01 pmWould be easier to sympathise with that position were it not for the fact that few have taken more advantage of how rank the UK press is than Dom. He's been the source of endless anonymous briefings to undermine opponents and manipulate public opinuon. Add in the fact he is by all accounts a relentless and ruthless bully and I don't have any pity for the bloke. He's as nasty as they come.
Feel bad for the kid though.

The video of him getting abused by his street adds to his argument that he couldn't rely on neighbours for child care

Hurrah! Dom is going to do a live broadcast later today, so all will be revealed. Best nail your feet to the ground as this'll have some obscene levels of spin. Will he do the decent thing - doubt it - it'd be a first. Good to watch the scumbags going into self-destruct mode though.

So the press is out for Cummings but not one of those cnuts is social distancing in that photo. Anyway, he should go. Can’t have double standards, the Scots bird had to go a couple of weeks ago and he should go now. Oh, and fine all that press pack and quarantine them for 2 weeks.

My name isn't Dave.
Or Rodney.
Re: Dominic Cummings
I hope he goes so that we can move on and focus on what is important in the coming days, weeks, months, years, the hysteria in the media and on twitter is unbelievable.
Bishop of Manchester calls for 'repentance' and sacking of Dominic Cummings as lockdown row deepens
https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk ... g-18305624
He wants repentance but still wants Cummings sacked - I thought the church taught forgiveness if we repent.
Piers Morgan and his ridiculous threat to "visit his parents" unless Cummings was sacked yesterday. I didn't see him tweeting about it so assume he didn't carry it through - all mouth and no action.
Doctors threatening to resign, people asking how Cummings could drive 250 miles without going to the toilet, people who think he has friends who live nearby who could have looked after his kid but aren't sure.
The list is endless.

I kind of want him to hang on now. It's way past being about doing the right thing, so we may as well get the entertainment factor. Some people are seriously losing their sh*t over this.

He’ll be a hate figure forever and has totally compromised himself.
I’m using my own discretion going forward.

Apologise for seeming to show the public any sympathy other than
single mums.
It seems his only concern is his family circumstance & not anyone elses.
The press need to be held to account for not asking this
"The message put out daily on television,
hardly ever if at all were the special circumstances
around young children was unclear to the mass public through the medium of television".
If it was Single parents would have made arrangements with other
fit young healthy people to care for there children while suffering .
I have sympathy for his circumstances but not for his lack of empathy to others.

Re: Dominic Cummings
Boris's performance has been shocking, and many Tories and backers have had their confidence knocked in the party leadership. This was all about Cummings providing a boost to their confidence that the leadership was still in control, and therefore able to deliver on its promises.

Re: Dominic Cummings
I think he was reasonably strong in it - with the exception of the 30 minute drive to a beauty spot to test his eyesight. That's real "dog ate my homework" stuff (I'll bet Johnson has used similarly convoluted stories when caught out in the past) - but it'll probably save his skin.
DCC's point above is very true - what this episode really exposes is how desperately dependent on him BJ is - and I think that will leave him open to his enemies inside and outside the party.
