Re: Dominic Cummings
I hope this rumbles on for another couple of days, seems bloody obvious he's going to have to go but it's always nice to see the added damage to all those trying to defend an increasingly untenable position before pretending one last morsel of information was the straw that meant the distraction was too much and resigning was the right thing. Shame we won't see Boris asked when and what he knew until this story is at least a couple of weeks old though.
The sideshow of Luara K going into complete twitter silence for the umpteenth time when the story she has been pumping from a 'senior source' turns out to be bullshit again also gives me a little warm glow inside.

Hang over from upbringing and working life as senior Sales Manager, swearing just wasn't acceptable in any circumstances especially in the officeNuneatonO's wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 8:44 amAnd you haven't?
The majority of us on this thread are referring to the Cummings debacle; whilst you keep deflecting it, by prattling on about swear words.

We're on a Leyton Orient Forum. A football club based in the east end of London; where for many of us who were born and brought up, couldn't really give a tuppenny toss about swearing.
Love the superb example of narcissism though - 'senior' Sales Manager. Does that mean you were the oldest; or that you'd just been there the longest?

He stands up; tells everyone he was a 'senior' Sales Manager and to stop swearing........as it "just isn't acceptable in any circumstances".West Side Story wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 9:11 am point nine one eight:- What do you use at football matches: headphones or earplugs?

A few good stiff Brandies and Bassets Liquorice Allsorts, I'm not brave enough to try the coffee again. Those that sit nearby have taken to the idea of each bringing a bag of sweets and sharing around, lady is present so moderation is observed, failing that sometimes I cock a "deffen" as the saying goesWest Side Story wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 9:11 am point nine one eight:- What do you use at football matches: headphones or earplugs?

Nope just that my performance figures were better than anyone else's, Maybe because I didn't resort to bad language, never felt the need to, still don't.NuneatonO's wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 9:20 amWe aren't in the office though, are we?point nine one eight wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 8:56 am Hang over from upbringing and working life as senior Sales Manager, swearing just wasn't acceptable in any circumstances especially in the office

Re: Dominic Cummings
Tory MPs now started to publicly call for Cummings to go. They're recognising the collateral damage this is causing the Government. If he can survive today that will be incredible.

Re: Dominic Cummings
Yesterday, Tory mp's were coming on twitter defending Cummings & what he did. Some of these mp's were Cabinet Ministers.
I find it unbelievable that high ranking members of the UK government, would defend someone who's done the wrong thing.
Unlike others on here, Im not so sure he will resign or be sacked.....its a maybe as far as im concerned

Re: Dominic Cummings
In the scheme of things, who care if some wrongun selfishly drove miles. But it's another depressing story of this slimy, hypocritical government who are spending more time trying to squirm out of this than they seemingly did on the 'stay alert' slogan. Just come out, be consistent, sack him and get on with trying not to kill too many more people.

But that's the thing, if they had come clean to start with they could probably have got away with an apology and him staying in his role. As ever, it's not the crime, it's the cover up that is now the story.

Re: Dominic Cummings
People should start looking more closely at Cummings and his links to Russia. Have a look at what campaigns he has been involved in over the years. Who does it benefit in the long term or they would hope it would benefit in the ling term? Remember Putin was KGB. His aim is to weaken the EU and he has been chipping away for his whole life especially since the fall of the Soviet Union. He wants to go back to those days. He uses proxies and intelligence services to try and exploit weaknesses. What happened the "Russian Interference Report"? Has it been published yet?

Any lingering doubts over Laura K’s impartiality now shattered (although anyone who’s given her the benefit of the doubt in the last 3 years needed to give their specs a wipe).
Hopefully it won’t be long till she’s shifted on now as she’s becoming an embarrassment. Give it 12 months before she’s chirping away on Times Radio with all the other faded politcos.

I was reading about some of his links to Firtash yesterday. Does make you wonder if Boris CANNOT sack him because he knows too much..DonaldRocks wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 10:36 am People should start looking more closely at Cummings and his links to Russia.
