You really think either of those will happen. Just look at Johnson and others that have stood at the podium these past couple of months. I agree with you...I dont think he will resign or be sacked, BUT he should.
Your point about people in power feeling untouchable, is right, and morals and decency went out of the window a while ago now.
I was talking to my other half recently, and she said if John Profumo was around now, he wouldnt have resigned. ( for younger boarders, he was war minister in MacMillans government and he told HOC he wasnt having a sexual relationship with Christine Keeler...he was however and when he was found out he immediately resigned as a man of principle)
