Because the season ticket offers a discount for bulk buying, the club could use this fact to mitigate anything they might have to pay out in cold hard cash.
Wonder if there is anything buried in the conditions of sale.
Annual rail tickets or Travelcards work on the basis of you getting the last two months of travel for free for example, so if you want to cancel after 10 or 11 months there is no refund. Though that's obviously very different to a football season ticket and the fact these are extreme circumstances (as well as needing to keep season ticket holders sweet)

For those that want it the club could offer 4 x live streams of away games

Yep for sure. Also, if not already, something concerning refunds (or absence of them) if the season card holder dies given increased risks especially with an aging fanbase.LittleMate wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 12:35 pmI bet there's nothing in the T+C's right now - but there will be for the future.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 11:57 amLittleMate wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 11:11 am

Something around those lines would be quite a good idea.theballmagnet wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 12:36 pm For those that want it the club could offer 4 x live streams of away games

The entire season wasn’t cancelled.
If we’re going to use your analogy it’s a bit like pre-paying for a two-week holiday and going on it but due to a natural disaster you had to come home 2 days early.
Most would suck it up and take the hit of missing out on the two days due to unforeseen circumstances, that’s life.
Of course you could demand the holiday company refund you and risk putting them out of business (as international flights are suspended due to the natural disaster) thus no more holiday deals next summer because the company are bust.
No it wouldn’t. Totally depends why it was cut short.

If a match got abandoned after 70 minutes, would they refund tickets bought on the day?

But if it got abandoned at half time the ticket stubs would be valid for the replayed game.banqo wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 5:47 pmNo. I don't think so.StillSpike wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 5:42 pm If a match got abandoned after 70 minutes, would they refund tickets bought on the day?
Bought tickets for a number of European games that were due to take place in March. Refunds offered on each one.

I'd imagine the club doesn't need to refund anything, as the season is 3/4 over. (it's well past halftime)
I'd hope, however, that they'll make some sort of refund, or other gesture, to compensate fans. They seem to be pretty switched on to doing the right thing.

I know I'm going back a long way here, but in 1971 when the Forest game was abandoned at half time, the 18000 odd crowd didn't get in for nothing at the game the following week when it was played.

Re: 4 unused home match tickets - what will the club do?
It will be interesting to see how the club plan to resolve this issue .
Maybe be they will discuss it with all the other clubs who are all in the same position and come to a solution together.
I don’t see fans being allowed back in stadiums any time soon so 4 x Free streams of future games is an idea.
Or a discount in the club shop is another possibility. On the whole the club tend to get these things right for the majority but with so much uncertainty with regard to actually playing again this may not be a priority at the moment.

Re: 4 unused home match tickets - what will the club do?
Danny Macklin has already said on at least one occasion (at least one of the YouTube Q&A, AGM and Twitter) that if the rest of season 19/20 is cancelled, the club will offer season ticket holders a range of options for the 4/23rds of the cost, one of which is a refund.

Danny Macklin has said on twitter "that when the club makes an announcement that we (the club) will present many options, including a pro-rata refund."
