Clubs accepting season over?

No happy ending to this one. Personally can’t see resumption anytime soon. Don’t see how season 20/21 can start until there’s a consensus on venues and safeguarding for players.

There will not be any more professional football in the Islands this season, and very possibly next season will start later.
The government will want assurances from the "scientists" that all is well to give the go-ahead for spectators to resume
watching games.

Nothing at stake for us anyway so not bothered.
One the one hand, footballers are unlikely to suffer badly because they are so physically fit and they're playing outdoors.
But they are in close proximity to others breathing heavily etc and have families to consider who they could take the virus home to, I understand their fear.

There will almost certainly be prem games behind closed doors. Obviously no fans this season.Chicken Dhansak wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 9:36 am There will not be any more professional football in the Islands this season, and very possibly next season will start later.

Boris has already made clear he doesn't really care for players safety, describing football coming back as a 'boost to national morale' rather than a risk that every single player and member of staff has to expose themselves to.

Watch this space, but I'm pretty sure we've seen the last 19/20 season match for us. The next question is when will 20/21 season start.
