League 2 season finished ?
Been told today from a col u player that i know that the season will not finish. They have been told that Top 3 will be promoted as it stands and no play offs. No idea about relegation or other leagues. Sorry if already posted but at work and no time to check.

This is football, you can almost guarantee the authorities will do the wrong thing.

I would like to see all points from this season carried over till next season then added on next season's points , that way no one in the play offs misses out when mathematically they could have got promoted this season .

Re: League 2 season finished ?
While I think that that is a good idea the pushback will be (1) teams that had promotion and survival in the bag will feel like they are unfairly having to gamble their achievements on another season where things could go wrong. So there's everything to lose and nothing to gain. (2) On a related note the club's that did well this season could well see their best playing leave over the summer and as such face a double penalty. (3) Teams that had promotion wrapped up or were very close will feel that they're being denied the financial benefits of promotion for another year. If you're Leeds or West Brom for example the difference in immediate money terms between promotion now or promotion in 12 or so months will be substantial.
There are probably other objections that clubs will have but those are just the ones off of the top of my head. Its an absolute nightmare whichever way you cut it. When the dust settles very few clubs will be happy and healthy and a fair number will be fighting the decisions made in the courts.

Who would buy tickets to watch Orient for example if they start the next season 16 points behind the play-off positions and 26 points behind 3rd?
The start of a new season has to mean everyone starts from 0.

Season finished - time to plan for next year.
Clearly there will be restrictions going into the new season and crowd gatherings will be limited.
Could be easy to manage in the lower leagues but not sure how this translates to the the premiership/championship.
Maybe a good idea to get a season ticket now - before we find that our gate is restricted to 25% of capacity.

Can’t see it myself. It will be behind closed doors until we get a vaccine/good antiviralsOrient Punxx wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 6:34 pm Season finished - time to plan for next year.

or the virus disappears (highly unlikely)
All this ‘letting 500 people in’ that I’m reading is a nonsense and a non-starter for many many reasons.
Will be 21/22 at the earliest before supporters will be able to return in my opinion.

That will also improve both the average football intelligence level and reduce the amount of whingeing. Win win on a couple of fronts.

Saw that Macclesfield have been deducted 7 points, leaving Stevenage 3 points behind them with a game in hand. Bet Stevenage would like to play the rest of the season.
