And isn't it. Neil Feguson of Imperial College predict 500k deaths. He provides the Government with statistics.
Going to get nowhere near that number.
He also provided some very dubious numbers regarding Foot and Mouth which again were way off.

Just read a bit of that. His numbers don't tie out for his flu comparison. In a single year 60k died of the flu. We've already had 240k die of C19 in one third of a year and whilst taking measures against it. Now I actually agree that the mortality rate is going to be far lower than predicted, but at least back it up with some real data

I believe he also predicted 40000 deaths by May in Sweden, they've had just 2500. It seems that his models fail to take into account the effects of any social distancing. Is the distancing the only reason they havent reached 40000? And you have to wonder what Swedens figures would have been with a lockdown and what ours wouldve been with a Sweden style strategy.
