So they are therefore still in a better position than us; as their Governments haven't been shafted; and spaffed tax-payers money up the wall for a load of Chinese tat that could kill people.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 2:43 pm Last I heard, the EU deal hadn't delivered anything yet.
Lest we forget that the Geman Army gave us 60 Ventilators that they had spare. Clearly, the more efficient Countries within the EU were better equipped than the UK from the outset.

My wife and I both believe this was circulating before Christmas and that there is some sort of denial or cover up about this virus, we will probably never know the exact truth.RoryRocks wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 2:11 pm Quick question to you all? I had a number of my family who were really ill all at the same time back about a week before Half term in the UK in London and Cambridge and it lasted for about 3 or 4 weeks. Extremely high temperatures, sore throat, headaches, shivers, no appetite, the worst cough they ever had, fatigue and in some instances projectile vomiting. In fact, one of my sisters had such a violent cough at the time she thought she had broke her ribs. When she eventually got to see the Doctor, the Doctor told her she had pulled muscles. None of them were tested at the time. I'm now thinking this virus was spreading like wildfire during February. Thankfully they are all well now but it has now donned on them too that they may very well have had it. The strange thing is not everybody in their house went down and had no symptoms. In fact, some of my relations in the UK and Ireland had the worst flu like symptoms back at the end of December early January, the likes they never experienced before. Have any of you had similar experiences?
Be interesting when the antibody test comes out to see just how many people have had it.
" A French Doctor has claimed that the virus was in France in December, a month before the first confirmed case.
Dr Cohen tested old blood samples for patients with respiratory symptoms and found a positive result.
This is worth investigating - it could be significant"

It's only 11.10 and I am studying this in real time. Now, Ireland is another Enemy, the same as China. You couldn't make this sh*t up. If I get the link, I will share it with you all.

What happened the USA and the UK in particular?
Why were they so laxa daisy about this virus?
Why did they downplay it originally?
You would like to think that Cobra meetings would be extremely important especially with the threat of a Global Pandemic.
Trump, Boris and Xii have blood on their hands and they have helped destroy the World's Economy.
Everybody knows that China is untrustworthy and we all know one of the Doctors who was a whistle-blower actually died off the Virus. Their death rate is bullshit. The very fact that they allowed millions to travel unimpeded was a disgrace. They're claiming to have a death rate of 3 per million. The very practice of wet markets always posed a threat of some form of outbreak, a despicable practice. They are not the only Asian country that is at that sh*t. China have kicked out many foreign correspondents including CNN and the Guardian.
They lack transparency but they along with Trump and Boris and others have to share their blame. It will all come out eventually.

I understand teachers being worried about catching it, but train drivers are in their own cab! They could leave barriers open so platform staff arent in harms way.

Re: Coronavirus
Anyone else noticed an upturn in the amount of traffic on the roads today?
round my way I would say that the traffic is about 60-70% of what it was before lockdown.
Is it that some people have finally had to go back to work or is it people saying f**k it. If the latter where the hell are they all going as bugger all is open.

Re: Coronavirus
The latter. I had to take someone to the hospital on Friday and the roads weren't busy busy but definitely up to 70% normal. People are just bored and realise that theres no actual punishment for going out and driving around or driving somewhere.JimbO wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 3:22 pm Anyone else noticed an upturn in the amount of traffic on the roads today?

Also noticed lots more photos on social media of people going to each others houses and setting up a chair on the pavement for a chat. Some even had a socially distanced picnic!

Until there is an antivirus, then they are quite right protecting the health/lives of their members wherever possible.
- Hundreds of people are still dying of the virus.
- Moreover, hundreds of people are still contracting the virus.
- Testing is still not meeting previously 'promised' targets.
- NHS staff STILL have insufficient PPE.
- Many NHS staff have still not been tested.
- If there is going to be a second wave, our hospitals are still potentially under-equipped with ICU facilities and equipment.
6 weeks after lockdown, what has changed significantly enough for you (and others) to assume that people are in a safe enough position to start easing it?
Let's bash the Unions though........not this incompetent Government eh?

Re: Coronavirus
We peaked almost a month ago.
Daily deaths have more than halved.
Infection rates have remained stable, even though testing has been ramped up massively.
'Hundreds' of people isnt a lot out of a population of millions.
Nightingale hospitals have barely been used.
The longer we shy away from normal life, the worse the economic damage will be.

Re: Coronavirus
So in other words, you think money is more important than human life?
You perceive that Unions are 'holding us to ransom'; rather than doing what they are paid to do; which is protecting the wellbeing of their members.
So typically Tory!

Re: Coronavirus
I'd like to think you're right but we really can't be sure the danger has almost passed. Still a relatively high new infection rate and we haven't come out of lockdown yet with all the inherent dangers of infection increasing. And Lockdown isn't that bad for gawds sake. A lot better than the alternative that's for sure.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 5:53 pm Nope.

Re: Coronavirus
Dear oh dear.
If this was football, we'd be looking at certain relegation:
Matt Hancock confirmed the latest death toll at Monday's Downing Street briefing as the UK edges closer to 29,000 fatalities, and the unwanted tag of the worst affected country in Europe
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/b ... n=sharebar
What an utter disgrace of a Government......even by Tory standards.
They and their supporters, should be truly, truly ashamed.
