The government is now doing some decent stuff ramping up testing and putting in place a track and trace app but a few weeks too late, can't stop this horrible virus in its tracks but could have slowed it down earlier, we will never know how many lives could have been saved with a clear strategy in place earlier.BoniO wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 5:35 pmAnd, personally, I couldn't be happier. It doesn't mean that the government hasn't performed terribly so far but if the valid criticism they've received has spurred them on to get results then I'm a happy bunny. It was always about beating this bloody virus, not about point scoring.
Ventilators and ICU beds were not the issue they were touted to be, where the government have performed poorly is PPE for key workers and acting too slowly to address the issues in care homes.
