Chris Hoghton sacked
just been announced.
Hoghton has lost his job after keeping Brighton in the premiership.
what do owners want when there is no money to buy quality players just keeping them up is a fantastic achievement IMO.

Hotler.
Don't worry, I know it's only a typo but it made me smile nonetheless.

I take it you don't get what (sic) means in the context of this sentence, right?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 7:04 pmHotler.

Doesn't matter if he is a BAME, he is a football manager and suffered the consequences like any non-BAME manager. There is too much made of not having BAME managers. If they are no good then thats that. They should not be taken on just for the sake of it. Same applies to ANY man or woman that applies for a job.

One of my favourite managers, wonderful quote after we thrashed Newcastle pre season 'well at least we won't have to face them again this season!' After that match he cleared out the dead wood and won promotion.

if it's the lowest budget does that mean they are living within their means or someone is making a profit?

Re: Chris Hoghton sacked
Not so sure. Saw them on the telly a few times toward the end of the season. They were in a downward spiral heading at full speed into the relegation vortex.
Luckily there were three other teams who were totally utter cack playing in the best league in the world and that's what saved them in the end. Houghton is a decent bloke and good manager but if it was my club I would like to see if a different manager can do better with the resources available.
