Quick question to you all? I had a number of my family who were really ill all at the same time back about a week before Half term in the UK in London and Cambridge and it lasted for about 3 or 4 weeks. Extremely high temperatures, sore throat, headaches, shivers, no appetite, the worst cough they ever had, fatigue and in some instances projectile vomiting. In fact, one of my sisters had such a violent cough at the time she thought she had broke her ribs. When she eventually got to see the Doctor, the Doctor told her she had pulled muscles. None of them were tested at the time. I'm now thinking this virus was spreading like wildfire during February. Thankfully they are all well now but it has now donned on them too that they may very well have had it. The strange thing is not everybody in their house went down and had no symptoms. In fact, some of my relations in the UK and Ireland had the worst flu like symptoms back at the end of December early January, the likes they never experienced before. Have any of you had similar experiences?

I'm beginning to think my younger son and myself caught this virus in early February, not as bad as in your family, temperature, sore throat, shivers and no appetite and fatigue, laid me out for 8 days, son for 5 days. Fever was high laying in bed lots of covers on and shivering, broke the fever that night, not nice however noticed difference as soon as fever broke.
Hope no one from here gets infected, stay well.

There does appear to be a lot of anecdotal evidence to suggest the virus was circulating in the UK in February at least, if not before. It will be interesting if a reliable anti-body test is ever brought out.

It's more and more looking like a pattern Tbh. They now know that the first patient in ICU with Covid in Ireland was February 17th. My niece is back on the front line after recovering. What a baptism of fire for those young medics. We just need to keep most things on lockdown for a few weeks more especially until after the UK bank Holiday and then hopefully we can see some lifting off restrictions. This is not easy but as we have gone this far, let's go that extra mile. Keep Safe All.

Yes, this is a major issue. If anybody on here feels they need to go to the Doctor or A&E, please go. If your worried about other ailments, don't neglect them.

He's alright but been told that because he was in hospital he has to be discharged to isolation which is a bit concerning

The hospital only has an "Urgent Treatment Centre" which apparently is a poor man's A&E and since Covid started their hours have been 08:00 - 22:00 as opposed to 24hr

Moving in the right direction. Although deaths in other areas (387) are still a concern. 122k tests yesterday and 6000+ infections the percentage testing positive is now starting to fall steadily. There is also a mega testing centre in Cambridge opening on Monday so test and trace should be ready for when the lockdown is eased.

Going to be a lot of disappointed hacks who were ready to pounce on Hancock for not meeting the 100k target by end of April, testing is really ramping up quite nicely.

I'm viewing a figure of 739 on Worldometers. Testing improving but the UK is still way behind alot of Countries. I'd expect that the UK will pass Italy out over the weekend and will have the 2nd worse death rate in the world in terms of numbers.

And, personally, I couldn't be happier. It doesn't mean that the government hasn't performed terribly so far but if the valid criticism they've received has spurred them on to get results then I'm a happy bunny. It was always about beating this bloody virus, not about point scoring.
