Was a Teacher and then moved into Financial Services. Was involved with RPA, which is Robotics Process Automation. Christ it's so new edge, well today it's far more common and most people don't know it's out there already, but it will be a good thing, it's not about taking over you're job, it's about making your job easier. I thought I was intelligent but unless you have a programming background or have a background in coding you haven't a chance,Tbh. I was stateside before that Tit got elected. I know being over in the states that Hillary and Trump were unpopular back in 2016 but in a few states with foreign interference he somehow got elected even though he lost the popular vote by over 3 million people. I was so disappointed as I knew he was somebody who was a threat to the world. If you don't know that already, please take a small step back and think why are we all in lockdown? I think I posted the fact that he removed the embedded person In China who was the eyes and ears of not just America but the world. We have been so let down so badly. Currently, I'm Caring at the moment for my Dad. I'm not perfect. Future job prospects are looking bleak TBH. I'm too long out of Teaching and I'm not going back to do anything like the last job I had in Annuities (Nightmare). I would still have 20+ years to Retirement: By the way, My dogs name is Rory. My name is Micheal. roll:

Wanted to be a tube train driver as a kid; first job was a trainee accountant, but moved swiftly on via working in DHSS to IT, a range of jobs within that, current job title is ’Change Platform Lead’ ……. which sounds more like I’m back with trains again on a station somewhere!!

Err - Senior Tax Manager, can you no read son.

I had the self employed tax consultancy at first with a couple of large clients and that was enough to be getting on with. One of the clients went bust and so the taxi filled a gap.

I still do tax consultancy which I will continue with after I jack in the taxi next year.

Anything else you want to know Mr Nosey Parker?

Well no wonder the car wash business failed.

Trainee accountant back in the early 80's. Moved into industry in the 1990's and then into business for myself from 2004. Think this current situation may force me into what I should have done last November and retire. Only the fact that I'm responsible for the welfare of c.15 workers keeps me doing the job atm.

I don't and never really did the sort of way out stuff. I think because I refused to work on a few jobs when I was in the employ of the Big 6/4. One was a loan shark type lender based in Watford and the other manufactured weapons. They were ok with that because technically and as a manager I was good.

I did for a short while work on a former PM's stuff. Frightening was my only thought at the extent that even as a spent force he had millions to spend, top class offices (adjacent to the American Embassy) and umpteen sychophantic almost religious followers/employees/policy types. It was like they had found a Wide Eyed Messiah in the Religious Foundation part of the building (1st floor if I recall)

These days I work for workers who get my knowledge for pennies. Otherwise they get shat on and bullied by HMRC.

I'm working on a free benefits offering to my clients via the CAB.

Fair play to you fella. Must have been sickening to see all that wealth in the hands of total winkers.

Started at the Prudential in 1960s. Spent one of my first pay packets on travelling to Leicester in the FA Cup. I can't remember too much, but I remember we won and Malcom Musgrove scored a stunning goal past Gordon Banks. One of the big upsets in the round. Also it was bloody cold.
Now retired after working in the commercial flooring industry. Had a great time.

First job was in 1966. After 2 years at Art School in the South West Tech I became a window dresser / display artist at Harrods. 5 years later I went to theological college and uni in Manchester and trained to be a christian minister. Since 1973 I've spent my life in ministry. When I moved to Wales 30 years ago, among other work I became a healthcare chaplain, based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, retiring from there in 2013, but will continue in ministry for the rest of my life. Still believe my prayers had something to do with Orient's success last season!

First job was an Admin Assistant for the Inland Revenue. Mind numbing repetitive tasks. I was suicidal after 2 days, but stayed for 2 years.
Now an SQL Developer for a Law firm, making financial reports from databases...

Leyton County High boy... 'had a student job early 60s near Wood Street. Had to strip asbestos rope off industrial thermometers and bung the asbestos in a bin, then break the glass tubes and drain out the mercury into a pot on the worktop. No PPE at all - quite dangerous really. Glad I only did it for a few weeks... whatever happened to the poor sods who worked there permanently? Became an architect... retired to France where I am happily locked down. Isolation is better than suffocation.

Hello Tom Chance.
We're in the Limousin. Not as hot as Pau in the Pyrenees. 'Have friends down there and often (used to) visit. It's a great part of France and an hour and a half from the ski resorts.
