First job had my own car wash at waitrose, buckhurst hill if anyone remembers that many years ago. Now, trade for a hedge fund but not employed by them. All done remotely while I sit in my pants at home talking to my pals on the message board.

I started as a Scientific Assistant at The Laboratory of the Government Chemist, checking the alcohol content of many and varied items. Moved to the Quality Control Lab of Glacier Bearings. Then joined the GPO as a Telephone Engineer. Retired after working at BT International. I been retired for 16 glorious years. The Government Chemist was a tremendous place to work. Pity our Scientists are so under valued. Wouldn't be in the poo poo we are today.

Err - Senior Tax Manager, can you no read son.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 7:59 pm Tax manager to taxi driver. Didn’t you fancy something different?
I had the self employed tax consultancy at first with a couple of large clients and that was enough to be getting on with. One of the clients went bust and so the taxi filled a gap.
I still do tax consultancy which I will continue with after I jack in the taxi next year.
Anything else you want to know Mr Nosey Parker?
