Bandoff - Biscuit Edition - Semi Final 2

Post by StillSpike »

Last hurdle before the grand final - who will make it to the St George's Day finale.

Last chance for the anti-penguin puritans to get rid of the foil wrapped beauties before the final

I still maintain that Penguins deserve bonus consideration for the extra joy they bring with the hilarious jokes printed on the wrapper.

I bought a pack the other day, as they were on offer. The joke on the first one I ate was:

“What do you call a penguin with no I?”
“A pengun”

You decide how many bonus points that merits.

That's brilliant. Here's one I found:

Q: Who is a Penguin's favourite pop star?

A: Seal

For those jokes alone, it has to be the MCs.

There's more, but I don't want too peak too early. If Penguins were to pull off a shock victory here and get into the final, I will then unleash a torrent of their truly great jokes. There will be much splitting of sides and guffawing.

Now if that isn't incentive to vote for them I don't know what is.

I must be showing my age - I'm sure they were foil wrapped in my childhood (that is, foil like a Whirl chocolate bar is wrapped in now - colour on the outside, silver on the inside)

Blimey - this is turning out to be the more exciting of the two semi finals.

Come on people, I love a MC too, but vote for the true outsider - The Penguin.

Q: What's a Penguin's favourite relative?

A: Aunt Arctica!!!

I wonder whether the Penguin is the only one of these 2 contenders capable of defeating the chocolate digestive leviathan in the Final. It looks like shortbread's given up the fight in the other Semi, and I can't see Maryland Cookies winning a possible final against choccy D's.

Whoever wins this has as much chance as Wigan beating Man City in the final...

Agreed, tuffers.

Come on people! Vote, or change your vote, for the mighty British institution that is the Penguin. We cannot let the American imposter win.

Tuffers speaks truth, guys.

Come on, we can do this, change your vote to the lovely British Penguin - give the colonial imposter what for. Remember how the Americans re-told the story of the Great Escape on film to embiggen their contribution? Now's your chance to right that wrong.

Never tasted a Maryland Cookie. I used to quite like a Penguin as a child, although they weren't a patch on a Bandit. Had a Penguin recently and thought it was poor. Another biscuit they've mucked about with to its detriment.
