Right now I'm not even confident of next season happening. Spike is right - this season is done. The league needs to decide on a way of wrapping it up on the basis that it's just not going to be feasible to play any further games.

I have a growing bad feeling that, by the time all of this is over, debating how the 19/20 season was concluded will be way down the list of everyone's priorities.

As it stands its 3 down from league 1, 4 up from league 2, one down from league2 and 2 up from national. That makes the normal 24 teams for next season. Therefore promote and relegate the teams as they stand if no more games are played or the points per games played seems fair. There did not used to be playoffs in the past. It was only brought in to give more interest. After all the team in 4th finishing 15 ahead of the one in 7th, as an example deserves promotion more but they are the rules. I just want this season to have existed however it achieved

I agree that league seasons should be brought to close - current standings with tweaks to even up. Just a matter of deciding what works best. Will be interesting to see what happens with UEFA competitions and the FA knockout competitions. They could all be played to completion at some point, even if finals take place in December.

Danny Macklin doesn't want a decision made now and it appears as though he wants behind closed door games with tv streaming

I think the clubs are jumping the gun here as the govt are saying they can start to prepare to resume the season.
