Just seen this on the O's Twitter page and thought it worthwhile positing it up here.
It's interesting that I was born that season with Barrie Fairbrother scoring at the time of my birth. Weird that i go on to follow the O's, saying I'm not sure i had a choice as my family go back to the 1920's supporting our club.

Great team that 69/70 team. Probably better than the 2013/2014 team that got beat in the playoff final
I remember that season so well. They got 62 points which is equivalent to 93 points today..pretty good that.

There was some very good players in that squad, I wouldn't mind some of them playing for us today if they were young enough. Mancini, Taylor, Rofe, Allen, Dyson, Lazarus, Brabrook, Bullock and Fairbrother would be the nucleus of a good team.
