Its arguably one of the greatest albums of all times. I could listen to it over and over and not get bored. In the car it's awesome, put on a set of Bose headphones and they will send you off to another realm. Its mesmerising.

I saw Pink Floyd perform the Dark Side Of The Moon tour at Earls Court in 1973. Visually it was stunning but did take a while to get going. On The Run was played as an aeroplane was launched from the back of the arena. Searchlights followed it as it made it's way towards the stage and crashed behind it.

It's a cracking album, and even now only parts of it have dated, even though it's 47 years old.

Straight up after was the same programme, but showcasing the Who. Made me realise what an average, and incredibly over-rated band they are in comparison.
They Even had Keith Moon as their drummer, and Still couldn't drag themselves up from the humdrum. Their songs just aren't really anything special at all. Their huge success has always astounded me.

Can I confess I have never listened to this album.

When it came out music appreciation was bitterly divided. It appeared to be what hippy types listened too. I wasn't a hippy type.

I will give it a go tonight and report back with a full gig review

Max you also need to check out animals, wish you were here and finally the wall. All works of art in my opinion.

The Wall was the first song I ever purchased from Woolworths with a voucher I had got for christmas. Truly memorable.

My wife on the other hands thinks its depressing music and hates them and ask me to turn it off!! You can't please everyone I guess.

No. I've committed to listen to Dark Side of the Moon. I can't go back on my word at this late stage
