Highlights of the season
As it’s looking increasingly more likely that we won’t see any more live football this season I was wondering what people think the Orient highlight of the 19/20 season.
Overall not a great season for many reasons, so very few moments to pick from. I can only really think of 2.
1. The comeback at Mansfield. After their second pen went in I was certain that we were in for a long and painful night. Couldn’t see anything but a pasting on the cards. How wrong I was. Coming back level was good enough but the scrappy winner in stoppage time made the long trip on a Tuesday night well worth it.
2. Alabi’s goal at Grimsby. Felt like 10 minutes from the moment he won the ball by the halfway line until he slotted it home. The whole passage passed in slow motion and I can’t be the only one who was convinced that he’s fluff his lines somehow. Absolute scenes in the away end went it went it. Certainly the most enjoyable goal of the season. He then went on to win a penalty in a 15 minute rampage. Say what you want about the bloke but he sure is entertaining.

3. Second-half comeback at home to Walsall. 0-1 down, Joe Widdowson scoring only his second career goal, with his weaker right foot as well. Ended up worthy 3-1 winners, marred only by Wilkinson getting himself needlessly sent off.

The first 45 mins if fletch's reign was the best football of this season. It was truly magnificent, shame we couldn't keep it up.
Mansfield as well, cos we were done and dusted.

Re: Highlights of the season
Probably the first game of the season. Strange atmosphere, emotional and a battling win. All down here from there really.
Lowlight was Macclesfield away. Train delayed, turned up late, stood on an open terrace in the wind and rain, we lost 3-0 against a team who weren’t getting paid and then I had to wait for the train home for about an hour. About 20 mins in it got diverted after an accident and came in 90 mins late. Think I left home about 8am and got home about 11pm. Horrible.

Re: Highlights of the season
You must have had a lot more than 6 pints, it was on a Tuesday evening.
