Re: Labour Watch
Seems this thread has been hijacked by Tory supporters desperate to halt the march of I-Keir into #10.
Sad.

I was surprised about that too, it's not like there's anything else going on right now.Eat The Rich wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 1:09 pm I also find it somewhat odd that there isn't the slightest hint of this being reported by the BBC or SKY. Nothing from Kuensberg at all. Its all very strange.

I’m not sure but I believe media establishments are able to report on more than one issue at a time.faldO wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 11:02 pmI was surprised about that too, it's not like there's anything else going on right now.Eat The Rich wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 1:09 pm I also find it somewhat odd that there isn't the slightest hint of this being reported by the BBC or SKY. You mean in the same way Corbyn and McDonnell swept anything right of Marxism under the carpet?RedO wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 10:56 pmNot even funny at the moment, way too soon.Disoriented wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 10:02 pm Seems this thread has been hijacked by Tory supporters desperate to halt the march of I-Keir into #10.

We were a couple of thousand votes away from a Labour government in 2017. If it wasn’t for these c*nts, we would have got there.
Imagine how different things would be right now if that were the case. These c*nts have blood on their hands.

Re: Labour Watch
Mate, you are totally right with that last point, but 2017 was then and 2019 a million miles from ‘a couple of thousand votes’.RedO wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 9:41 amSeriously mate.Disoriented wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 8:34 amYou mean in the same way Corbyn and McDonnell swept anything right of Marxism under the carpet?

Yes, things would be hugely different and even the most fervent Tory supporter must know that now.

Re: Labour Watch
Do you think the plotting and back stabbing from the right wing of the party stopped in 2017?
These people would rather have a Tory government than a truly socialist Labour government. That’s sickening.

Re: Labour Watch
Hang on, is the narrative now that, however good or bad you think the Tories are handling this, Labour would have done better?
Obviously we'll never know for sure but, judging by the shambolic way they mismanaged their own election campaign, where does the confidence behind this assertion come from? And "good intentions" does not equal good outcome.

Shadow Health Sec Ashworth was probably one of only a few competent ones in the Shadow Cabinet.

Who knows.
But I’m guessing Jezza wouldn’t have spent February sunning himself on a billionaires island instead of prepping for this.

Re: Labour Watch
Yeah, yeah , yeah... we get all that. Boris is bad. (I get a sense that Kier is bidding his time for now, but once the moment is right will make political capital out of any mishandling by the Tories.)
But, aside from not strutting on a beach in his speedos, what is it that gives anyone confidence that a Jezza-led government would have cracked the secret recipe for the perfect long-term strategy for dealing with the global pandemic?

I think they would rather have a socialist party that is electable than a 'truly' socalist party that isn't.
