There was a discussion on here a while ago about great riffs - this one has to be up there

Vote The Damned - you know it makes sense.

The Pogues- the perfect combo of incredible lyrics, stage presence and debauchery made for a great night out, some of which I can remember.

Oasis must reform. I always ask for a Roll With It when I order soup.

Got to be The Damned. Been going since 1976, still recording new stuff in the last 2 years with Dave Vanian and Captain Sensible still there along with former member Paul Gray who recently re-joined. Saw them twice in 1996 at the Harlow Square, a 300 capacity venue. Proper close up and personal gigs unlike the lack of atmosphere of an O2 arena style show.
Enjoy !

Went to their one-year anniversary gig at the Marquee - great gig

I still have the free memento single Stretcher Case Baby given away at the gig.

If Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac don't qualify I will hunt you all down especially if you think Oasis are better. Damned also to go through

The Pogues have to be one of the most musically diverse and talented group of musicians. They did so much more than the Celtic punk they were known for. The poetry and image of Shane MacGowan has always grabbed the attention, but the rest of the band were great too.

Rum, Sodomy & the Lash remains one of the greatest ever albums. One of the best, if not the best, live act I've ever experienced. And that even includes their reunion gigs at Brixton in 2004. I've never experienced an atmosphere like it, and still have the hangover.

Pogue Mahone & RIP Phil Chevron.
