Re: Coronavirus
Just checked and the schools weren't shut, last day in was Friday 20th March.
'Pubgate' happened on Wednesday 18th March.

Re: Coronavirus
Can't see any reference to Skype at the time? (Although I'm aware Downing Street subsequently issued a clarification/fabrication that he of course meant over Skype). Probably didn't mean he was still shaking hands with corona virus patients just a week or two earlier, either.Digby Chicken Caesar wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 12:00 pmOver SkypeMick McQuaid wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 11:53 am And Johnson Jr. was telling us he'd be off to see his mum at the weekend?

I take it back, if the schools had been told they'd been closing but they hadn't actually closed then going to the pub despite social distancing measures was the wise thing to do. Just wish I'd known myself

Re: Coronavirus
And people were scrambling for the pubs. They knew no different as we had a total lack of leadership.

Re: Coronavirus
Exactly mate, the Prime Minister said on BBC 1 not to go to pubs but that command was far too vague
If only he'd been clearer and said something like don't go to the pub then maybe people would've got it

Parents still having to send their children into school, that's fine. But you can't go into a pub (even though the government had still let them open).

All I do know is that when asked on the Friday before, despite giving some vague, rambling answer about not visiting vulnerable people, but that age alone didn't necessarily make one vulnerable, he finished up by saying he would be seeing his mother on mothers day.
Presumably he was of the mind that she is not vulnerable despite her advancing years because of her good stock, just as his dad is still able to go out to the pub for a pint and Boris himself is still able to shake hands with Corona sufferers. Their good breeding must give them a cerain invincibility.

Defo.
But he's not as good. Either it's an impostor, or PAM is suffering the decline that happens to all of us eventually.

I was never any good, I just used to post links to controversial stories without expressing an opinion then step back and watch other people fight.
Tried and tested formula that seems to have been adopted in part by that Spen bloke

The reporting is not helping the public make sense of what's happening. You've got to hope that those in charge are getting better numbersPrestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 3:19 pm 765 new deaths in England but only 140 of those actually occurred yesterday.

Yes indeed, I've now come to realise that.
Just another Tory Apologist who never wants to answer questions; and whose contributions have the 'depth of a grain of sand'.
Moving forward, the will be completely ignored.

It's not that easy to understand but I'd assume those in charge are getting the same numbers.Real Al wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 4:09 pmThe reporting is not helping the public make sense of what's happening. The number reported each day is the increase in the total number who have died at any time, now identified and confirmed (as far as that is possible) as having died from COVID-19. At least that's how I interpret it.
There's a chart here which shows when people died: with an indication that the totals for the past 5 days are subject to change (upwards).
