Boarding Olympics 100 metres - THE DRAW

Post by Omygawd »

News just in from the organiser and the IOCC...competitors entered for this blue ribbon event have had their names crayoned onto torn paper. The names have been stuck into an old Orient bobble hat and drawn. There are however no witnesses to the draw given the need for strict social distancing. There are certainly some big names in direct competition with each other and some are sadly going to fall in the heats. The commentary team have been given tomorrow to research the competitors and the heats will take place on Thursday afternoon of this week. There will be a commentary as these progress. Given the need for adequate rest the Semi Finals and Finals have been scheduled for Friday afternoon, further commentary will be provided for all subsequent races. Limber up people, get your lycra on and prepare to take some scalps if you're fast enough.......

Heat 1

Lane 1 Thor
Lane 2 Slacker
Lane 3 BIGRON
Lane 4 ElliotNes
Lane 5 Orient_Man_And_Boy
Lane 6 Story of O
Lane 7 Celtient
Lane 8 I8uButler

Heat 2

Lane 1 Apple Wumble
Lane 2 Omygawd
Lane 3 Constanza
Lane 4 tuffers#1
Lane 5 ComeOnYouOs
Lane 6 Beradogs
Lane 7 Griffin1975
Lane 8 Disoriented

Heat 3

Lane 1 StillSpike
Lane 2 Max B Gold
Lane 3 Chestunt O
Lane 4 o-no
Lane 5 Prestige Worldwide
Lane 6 ConfibulatoryFred
Lane 7 HMM
Lane 8 Adz

Given the need for an opportunity for the winner to try to "do the double" the same 24 will be entered automatically into next weeks 200 metres.

I'm already being asked to adjudicate on whether his steel toe capped running spikes are legal.

Can I also just clarify if the winner will be judged by the first chest to cross the line or will a beer gut count?

Knowing Max, he's more likely to veer sharply to the left and knock me into the infield (although it's touch and go whether I'd get out the blocks)

The mighty thor will call upon the gods of thunder and lighting to propel him down the track.

However, I think we have some serious issue with a ringer in our race. Orient man and boy must be doing a Benjamin Button so could have the edge on speed as he's getting younger whilst we are all getting older.

Stewards should convene on this matter as its age doping which is the new way of avoiding steroids which leaves the person being full of youth yet 70 years old.
