Lockdown isn't likely to last the originally stated 3 weeks then?
Of course not.
They’re managing expectations. If they came out and said this is going to last 3-6 months minimum and they’re going to keep on ramping up restriction on day one, there would have been uproar.

Kids ain’t going back to school this year, for starters.
Unfortunately I feel you may well be right with your comment.

Sorry, meant academic - I'm hoping they can go back in September.

Agree with that. They haven't closed the schools here, but the schools are doing all learning online anyway so 80% of kids are staying home.

I see the Nordie Unionists have cancelled their usual marching nonsense this year. One for the COVID19 small wins column.

That's the leader of the world. We are here because of total world ignorance and incompetence. Nothing to worry about!

‘Corona epidemic under control in Norway’
Health Minister Bent Høie. Early lockdown over here. It works.

Well that's certainly bucked the trend for the last couple of days.

Doesn't each Monday's figure see a jump? Like it's catching up from the weekend?

Yesterday's was also lower, but I take your point since Sundays have seemed to be a fair bit lower generally.

They are reporting deaths from the day before but they are the ones reported the day before, not actually those who died the day before.
It means that many from the weekend dont actually get reported until tuesday.
