Re: Labour Watch
Looks like we're back to the"new Labour" ways, as expected.
Nandy & Reeves in the shadow cabinet aaaaagh..... Tells you all you need to know
Goodbye Labour , you'll have to do it without me

Re: Labour Watch
I suspected as much but it really does put the tin lid on the notion that Corbyn's critics in Labour were champions of a broad church, of pluralism and tolerance of differing views. Within 24 hours of gaining power the "centre" has utterly purged the left and jumped into bed with the Right. Don't say we on the left didn't tell you the last five years was a stitch up. The problem the whole time was that the gravy train stopped. The careerists rebelled and now they're polishing their knives and forks ready for feeding time. I'm getting awfully, awfully close to spoiling my vote.

Re: Labour Watch
Think all those announced except Reeves served in shadow positions under Corbyn. Imagine Thornberry, Lewis and RLB (if she's happy with a position befitting her pretty limited talent) will get roles as well.

Absolutely spot on and I fully concur with your observation.EH16 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 6:07 pmWhat's really going on is the same as it was then when Savile had access to the highest echelons of government. Namely, the establishment protecting its own at any cost regardless of what they've done.

Imagine a few token appointments to appease the Momentum types will be announced tomorrow
Those unwilling to accept Sir Keir's decisions and party democracy should fuc* off and join the Tories though.

I’m torn. Just don’t know whether to be a grown up about this and support him even though I don’t agree with him on lots of issues, give my support to someone else who better fits my views, or just belittle him and be a whiny little bitch until we get him out?

Re: Labour Watch
The Dilemma for Labour. Have a hard lefty like Corbyn and never get into power or a more moderate leader and stand a chance of winning an election.
I know what I think is more sensible.
After 4 successive defeats the penny may drop for some.

That account is well-known on Twitter for spewing antisemitic poison - I refuse to believe Corbyn wasn't at least semi aware of it when he retweeted it.

It's also very well-know that Boris Johnson wrote a novel (Seventy Two Virgins) including very antisemitic themes of Jews controlling the media (as well as other racist tones).
And there's Corbyn, bold as bloody brass, wishing him best wishes and a speedy recovery. It's never ending.

How left he is, like others, a matter of opinion. But he was definitely the wrong brother to get the job. Just how different the political landscape today could look. An opportunity missed, big time, huge, massive. Shame.

Corbyn is consigned to history. Best left that way. No point in dwelling on his failure. Time to move onwards and upwards.Nice Username wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 11:25 am That account is well-known on Twitter for spewing antisemitic poison - I refuse to believe Corbyn wasn't at least semi aware of it when he retweeted it.

Who is the 4th hard left in a row ?
It seems like you are making a claim that the hard left lost 4 elections in a row when quite clearly they havent.
