3,000 people went to Brockwell Park yesterday.
Time for Khan to shut the parks as there's far too many selfish people out there

Yep, just a few herberts.Tom Chance wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 4:33 pmJust a few herberts out in the parks today then.
Can only call it as you see it and I've seen my neighbours have family visit them earlier in the week. I also hear them leaving the house 10 or 12 times a day.
Lots of cyclists going past too heading towards Epping Forest.
Pretty sure you’re allowed to ride a bike at the moment too. Even in Lycra.

Lambeth Council have shut Brockwell Park today thankfully. Seems they are in agreement as well.

Re: Coronavirus
So instead of having their daily exercise stroll through the wide open park, these 3,000 people will take it in the streets outside? Makes sense.

Re: Coronavirus
621 more deaths. Sunday figures this and last week were lower than others so putting that down to some sort of bias in the reporting.

Re: Coronavirus
The assistant chief medical officer mentioned 6 months the other day, rather than fixate on that number I’m sure she’s sending the message it’s not a couple of weeks, hoping that the public tow the line on social distancing etc.

Re: Coronavirus
If we're lucky, we might see the death rate begin to stabilise in around 10 days and then start to decline. Could be a month or more before death rate becomes, I dunno... 'acceptable'.
I have absolutely no idea when restrictions will start to be eased, but don't expect pubs to re-open or sporting events etc. to restart anytime soon.

Re: Coronavirus
I've been assuming mid to late June based on Johnson's '12 weeks to get on top of this' comment in mid march. Seems like there's a very good chance we'll have to do it all over again once the spread of it restarts.

Re: Coronavirus
That’s how you deal with a pandemic apparently. quarantine, then release, then quarantine,Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 10:28 pm I've been assuming mid to late June based on Johnson's '12 weeks to get on top of this' comment in mid march. then release etc etc etc until the virus strain weakens or a vaccine is ready to be used. Therefore this could go on until well into the autumn and beyond
