Well one difference is that people in China do what their (just for you Max ) told. Unlike the numpties in this country who think rules don't apply to them. Doesn't excuse the government for tardiness tho.slacker wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 11:45 am We've now had more deaths in the UK than in China. I really don't understand how anyone can look at those numbers and think that our Govt is doing "a great job". We have less than 5% of their population and we had more than a month's headstart in preparing to tackle and mitigate the issue.

Re: Coronavirus
People are following the ‘rules’. The number of cases and deaths isn’t because a few herberts are still meeting up. It’s because the Government have f*cked up.

Re: Coronavirus
Slacker I can't believe that you believe what china is telling the world. Just this morning I saw a new video (one I had not seen previously) of thousands of bodies stacked up in body bags. Then you have the crematorium with what was it 2,500 urns being delivered each day! I'd wager that the actual number is closer to a million than it is 3 thousand odd that they claim.slacker wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 11:45 am We've now had more deaths in the UK than in China. Theres stuff they could have done better, they could have communicated better, this that and the other. The government is being guided by the scientists and I do trust those bods in what they tell us.

Re: Coronavirus
One of (the many) problems with characters like you is that you keep on trying to reinvent history. It's been demonstrated many times on here, and more convincingly maybe, echoed by the Tory press, that this government in totally inept and missed the boat on isolation of cases and testing from the get-go. This feck up alone will cost thousands of lives. The fact that they've followed that up with a failure to ramp up testing even now is damning. NHS workers and appropriate protection gear - "move along" says Boris... lack of funding for the NHS during their stewardship - "nothing to see here" says Boris.
The list of their major feck ups goes on and on and on and.............
Stop trolling you half wit and get back under your stone with all the other Tory slugs.

Bonio who sees only one side of things.
You aware of event 201 are you? Which was run at the back end of last year and run on a very similar basis to what the world is experiencing now. Strange that. Bill Gates headed it up. Strange that considering he has zero medical skills or experience. Now guess who is working on a vaccine, yes that's right Bill Gates. Then guess who sold the government testing kits which were contaminated with covid 19 yes correct again Bill Gates.
So whilst you want to blame the government and trust me I don't think they are blameless you need to follow the money and really look to see what is really going on.

Here's a chart of death by coronavirus by age.
Only THREE of England's 3,302 coronavirus deaths so far are under 20 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... rticle-top

I only want to blame this government for what they've done wrong thanks. There's plenty of that I'm sorry to say. Absolutely no need to look for conspiracies everywhere when you have this Tory government. Try it.Thor wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 1:55 pm Bonio who sees only one side of things.

Re: Coronavirus
708 more UK deaths, but the total is below previous scientific expectations and the rate of new infections is continuing on the slower trend.

Yep. Grovelands Park in Winchmore Hill was really busy at 11am when I ran through; god knows what it's been like this afternoon.Digby Chicken Caesar wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 3:36 pm Staggering amount of people are out today, expect the same tomorrow

About 50 odd people in Kennington Park sitting around having a beer and/or picnic
Similar amount in Battersea Park with 10 times that amount running in close proximity

Re: Coronavirus
Just a few herberts out in the parks today then.
Can only call it as you see it and I've seen my neighbours have family visit them earlier in the week. I also hear them leaving the house 10 or 12 times a day.
Lots of cyclists going past too heading towards Epping Forest.

Re: Coronavirus
This is not a conspiracy theory or misinformation. If you've had the BCG. Your less likely to die. Health care workers and older people should get a top up BCG vaccination.
I've been following Luke O'Neill, a Professor of Biochemistry and Immunology, Trinity College Dublin, my old Alma Mater.
Ireland has an issue with Healthcare workers and Nursing homes. They are going to screen the workers daily from now on.
Also healthcare workers should not be going from one healthcare facility to another.
