He's both selfish and ignorant, but then would do you expect from the ruling elite?

Re: Labour Watch
Sir Keir Starmer wins on first ballot with 56.2%.
Could spell the end for the Corbyn project

Re: Labour Watch
The Corbyn project is over and done and dusted, kier will move closer to the centre left with his policies. It will be interesting how he fares under pressure as at times he can be found wanting.
I personally think he was the best choice available from the candidates put forward.

We'll learn more how far he wants to stick the knife into the Corbyn Project when his first Shadow Cabinet is announced

Former Torygraph/Mail columnist Peter Oborne - one of the better and more principled Conservative commentators - gives Corbyn a decent and balanced “obituary”:

Re: Labour Watch
Membership has never been £10 a month.
It's £4.38 per month (or £2.21 for those aged 20 to 26, retired, unwaged, part-time workers or affiliated trade union members).
So I guess you won't be saving £10 per month after all.
I had my doubts about you earlier this week. These are now confirmed.

Even Rees-Mogg Said some nice things. History will judge him not by the rhetoric but by achievement.slacker wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 11:30 am Former Torygraph/Mail columnist Peter Oborne - one of the better and more principled Conservative commentators - gives Corbyn a decent and balanced “obituary”:

His lasting legacy will be the election that resulted in his departure. A huge failure who consigned Labour to becoming unelectable for a variety of reasons that have been done to death. Who says so? The voters.
I just hope, with a new leader, Labour start to regroup and move from a party of protest to a party that can compete in General Elections. The one thing he just didn’t get. All the chat, promises etc count for not much unless you win an election.
Today I am so happy Corbyn has been consigned to the past and hopefully the party can now move forward and not backwards, as it has been doing under Corbyn.

Re: Labour Watch
Corbyn had some good ideas of that I've said in this thread previously. The downside was the bad ideas were really bad, the downsides would have been massive and hurt both the economy and the people.
I think Kier will be good and I do think that in time he could be electable, it just might take 2 elections to do so

I'm looking forward to seeing what this man is about, but for some reason he reminds me visually of Paddy Ashdown.

Re: Labour Watch
I liked his opening words, very good. I also like the offer which was accepted of cross party help and work to combat this virus.
A good start.
A good start.

I might have a change of heart and hang around after all, sniping from the sidelines and trying to discredit him at every turn. That’s what we’re supposed to do, isn’t it?Max B Gold wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 1:12 pmLet's all get behind the Starmer team and cheer them all the way to Westminster.
