Dice Cricket Tournament - ITS GAME DAY!
In the spirit of entertainment created by MB Gold with his superb Boardin’ cup I hereby invite 21 players so submit their names for partaking in the inaugural Cricket Boarding Cup on Monday 6th April
The first 6 players on each team each get two chances to roll the dice before they are ‘out’. To get ‘out’ a 5 must be thrown. The last 5 players get just one life and can roll the dice and accumulate runs until they throw a 5.
Once a player is out I will roll the dice to establish method of wicket loss, namely
1. Lbw
2. Caught A Bowled B
3. Bowled
4. Hit wicket
5. Run out
6. Caught and bowled
I will then roll the dice again according to the outcome of their dismissal to attribute the player responsible for taking the wicket.
Players 6-11 will count as bowlers
Players 1-6 will count as fielders
I will live updates as wickets fall having listed up the team sheets on the mb first.
As this is the first ‘test’ I invite players to state their best position in the team and I will do my best to accommodate them. However, in the end you’ll get shoved in wherever there is space. That includes me - yea I am the umpire but I fancy a game too - and will only stand aside if numbers exceed requirements.
You have the weekend to submit your name and to get practicing with your batting stroke or bowling arm.
The match is being held at the Oval and the weather forecast is mild but a bit windy.
Cheers for now

Love to participate
Leg break bowler. When I was 15-16 I could turn the ball more than Shane Warne in his prime. But lost it when Robin Hobbs (my then hero) taught me to bowl a proper googly. That spin I had never came back.
And in the spirit of all leg-break bowlers at that time No. 9,10 or 11 batsman

Me please.
Quite like playing wicketkeeper, bat around number 5 or 6, once the quick bowlers are tired out

How many dice are you using because if it is only the one the correct description is die. Dice is the plural of die.
Not that I've made that clear count me in.

Count me in. If you can remember Basil D'Oliveira's run up then that is what I copied. Batting is in the same bracket as Chris Tavare i.e. blocker.

Re: Dice Cricket Tournament - players needed
Ok please add me to the list. Bat at 3 or 4, medium fast bowler or was very good as a wicketkeeper (I had to be doing something as standing around is not fun for me)
