Ground out the result today, 3pts all that matters

Brill - 7 - did enough in the 1v1 to make the Harrogate player go wide, some decent stops and excellent handling from crosses
Widdowson - 6 - good attacking but two balls inside him gave us some very nervy moments. Gave the ball away a lot in possession
Ekpiteta - 7 - solid and some good balls out of defence
Coluson - 8 - vital early goal and that clearance off the line worth another. Maybe verging into 9 territory and MOTM contender with Brophy
Happe - 6 - good in the air, not so much with ball at feet but still feels a bit harsh giving a 6 to a defender with a clean sheet
Brophy - 8 - our main threat first half, great workrate and carries the ball well
McAnuff - 7 - not at his glittering best but quality ball for the goal and added that bit of nous at times
Clay - 7 - usual high work rate and great engine. Harsh booking.
JMD - 5 - kept losing his footing, not quite his day but still feeling his way back from injury
Koroma - 6 - tricky and strong on the ball but decision making and shooting not at his usual high standard
Bonne - 7 - as always never stops running and works selflessly for the team. Would've scored had he kept his footing early on (too much water on the pitch?)

Harrold - 8 - we played to his strengths and it worked a treat. Great strength and hold-up play, capped with a bullet header
Turley - 5 - some heart in mouth moments when he came on and promptly gave the ball away twice for a counter. Saw the game through in the end

JE - 8 - got his tactics generally right today, CM at times too open but subs spot on to see the game out and get the vital second goal

Referee - 4 - usual NL tinpot poo poo

I agree with pretty much all of that.

You points about JMD and Koroma are well made.

I agree too. Thought Dan Happe was an accident waiting to happen in the second half, but he got away with it. Jobi just brings calm and quality with him, so great to see him back. I can't remember when we last had a team that are a huge threat from corners. The weight of corners for us in the game was telling in the end. I don't mind Koroma trying and missing, but he will need to add assists to his game in order to develop. There was one move in the second half where Bonne and Brophy were free at the back post and he blazed over from a tight angle.

Very accurate ratings from op. Bit harsh on the ref but Orient wise spot on.

Agree with most of that.

Brophy a touch too high, he disappeared a bit second half.

Coulson MOTM for me. Outstanding performance capped with a goal and that clearance.

Jobi also a touch too high. Great delivery for the goal bit otherwise a bit below par, given the time out that’s no surprise. I was amazed to see him last the full 90 in that heat. Great news that both he, J-WMD and Turley are all back and got game time. That’s great news for Monday.

Bonne was great again, love the way he changes rolls so easily when Harold came on.

They were a really good side. Played some good stuff, no horrible players, the two boys up front were a proper handful and the dwarves in midfield properly combative. Would love to see them go up through the playoffs if we get top spot.

Coulson MOM, Brophy was excellent and Clay did the battling for two in Midfield.
Harrold showed was he's good at given the right service.

Yeah, Clay defo carried Jobi today. Another great performance, even see him have his first shot since the opening day 😂

What was worrying for me was the ease of how they were able to slide balls around the outside of Happe time and again, not his best game today. Normally the ball inside is what hurts but they were constantly trying to slide them around him and suceeded.

Amazingly we appear to have got through a game without a serious injury.

If Clay could shoot he'd be worth a bit.

By constantly you mean what, 3 times?

The other bloke up top (12?) was quick enough and looks like they targeted Happe for that. We were still tighter overall today than we have been on recent weeks.

Didn’t enjoy that too much but loved the result! We did well to get a clean sheet against the league's top scorers. Impressed with Harrogate, they played some good football but when it comes to grinding out a result there’s no one better than us at the moment. MOTM Super Joshy Coulson for the goal and the block. 1, 2, 3, 4 ...

One time they hit the lost and brophy cleared it, another Coulsen cleared it and when you see it back it was going in. Too many times and two certain goals but for covering players.

Good set of rating...We need to stand up to the giants of Solihull on monday

For me, Brophy's best game in an Orient shirt. They couldn't deal with him in the first half and he has gotten stronger in the tackle when tracking back. Coulson MoM.

We didn’t play well today, but it’s all about results now, and better to be lucky ( not that we were) than good.
Koroma was very wasteful and a bit selfish in the 2nd half when he should have crossed rather than shooting.
When he did find himself in a great position on the edge of the area he blazed it over, let’s hope he’s more accurate on Monday.
I thought Clay and Coulson were both immense today. I lost count of how many times Clay was fouled in that 2nd half and the work he got through.
Good to have Jobi back and Matt Harold always gives the opposition something to think about .
MOTM for me was Coulson.

We went off the boil a bit late in the first half and we’re nervy at the start of the second but overall, thought we played well against a decent side. Very happy with that after recent performances.

Also need to take into account we had both Jobi and JWMD centrally who are obviously lacking match sharpness and fitness.

Respect to Harrogate..They did try to play football instead of hacking

Terrible game.

Happe and Widdowson had me worried. Coulio helped settle the nerves.

Brophy was good. I never thought I would ever say this but Clay had a good game too.

Bonne worked hard but his por close control lets him down. Koroma was ok but I would want to see a lot more from him on Monday if he starts.

Harrold is shaping up to be an excellent impact sub.

That is all.

And don’t that make a fecking change. Expect to get kicked off the park Monday. Thugs rule, OK. The NL motto.

Great cameo from Harrold again. Laughable that some people were slagging him off around Christmas whilst at the same time shouting about Alabis amazing impact. That performance yesterday is what you call and impact performance from the bench

Always liked Harold. Pleased for him (and us)
